1862 Company founded by Eduard Wille
1899 The company traditions are carried on by
Emil and Eduard Wille, the sons of the
owner.
1914 The Wille brothers now employ 500 staff
and a further 25 trainees/apprentices.
Approx. 80% of all products made are
exported, mainly to European countries.
1938 The company is taken on by the grand-
children of the founder. STAHLWILLE now
employs approx. 400 employees.
1955 The family business expands moderately.
The multilingual catalogue contains
around 3,000 different tools.
Today, the company is still a family-owned
business with more than 500
employees. Management is by Managing
Directors who are independent of the
family, checks and controls exercised
by an advisory board.
Exports are distributed worldwide to
over 100 countries through our own
distributor companies.
Three different production locations, all
in Germany.
