FIRST OFF, THE FOKKER D.VII The Fokker was introduced two weeks ago in Atlanta, and I think there has already been a lot written about it around the world. There's not much more to add, really. We want to do exceptional kits. To achieve this, we employed exceptional design work, with innovative new solutions to get exact fit. Although fully detailed, the kit remains simple to build. There are some interesting and eye-catching features within the box, huge decal sheets, color instruction manual...designed to lead the modeler into completion of this build. Once you see this kit, you won't hesitate in diving right in. Trust me, this is a modeler's dream come true, allowing a trouble free and pleasurable experience. You'll find that this kit beckons completion!

The Fokker is the first in a new series of such kits. Packed in these orange boxes, subsequent kits will be designed with the same philosophy. Although the series opens with a WW I biplane, it will by no means be thusly limited We are working on the Hetzer tank destroyer, and on a couple of famous and highly interesting WW II fighters. What do you think? What types would you like to see in the style of our new Fokker D.VII? One thing that we'd like to reiterate. This is a limited edition kit release, and will be discontinued after sell-out. The Fokker built version of the D.VII will follow in a similar manner. It has been said that this is a ProfiPACK type kit, but make no mistake, this is no ProfiPACK....this is the ORANGE line of kits!

WHAT'S NEW FOR THE FALL? The Hetzer. the first 1/35th scale tank in the Eduard line. Made in the ORANGE style, with some 400 parts, complete interior, complete engine...gun with sight compartment, radio compartment, driver position...some photo-etch, four figures, ammunition. Small tank, huge kit. Look for it in October. Also, a couple of the limited edition kits will be released in early fall. The first one will be the P-40N/M 'Sharkmouth over China'. Five marking options, resin cockpit interior and other details, photoetching...the second one will be the new Pfalz D.III.

PHOTOETCHED SETS They account for most of our new releases, as usual. Most of the aircraft sets are color, again, as usual. See the three Fw 190F-8 sets among the 1/32nd scale selection, and the two other Fw 190A-8 and F-8 sets in the 1/72nd scale line. There are more sets designed for the essential German fighters this

month, where you can find Bf 109G-2 and G-14 items in 1/48th scale, and Bf 109G-6 Zoom set in the 1/32nd scale 'Instrument Panel' Zoom line. There are seven 1/35th scale sets, among them the next two Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.C sets, one for the Dragon kit, and one for the AFV kit.

MASK LINE We have a new advertising campaign for the mask line, and I have already received protest letters. Two, to be exact. The usual....too racy, too offensive, degrading and demeaning. Yes, it is racy. But not degrading or demeaning. A pretty woman in a swimsuit is ....degrading??? How, exactly? Actually, its more of a celebration. The idea is that our masks are as important to the modeler as the swimsuit is to the girl. The suit is perfect forming and perfect fitting...and guess what? So are the masks! It is just a small piece of clothing, but how relevant! Our masks are the equivalent to what you see in the ad...and how relevant!
