On 15 - 16 September 2015 the two world of industry and science gathered
together at E|DPC – Electric Drives Production Conference and Exhibition.
The leading companies from home and abroad showcased their products
and innovations from the electric drives and generators production chain at
the exhibition. With its clear focus the exhibition offers the ideal opportunity
to stay updated on trends in the industry. This is where exhibitors come to
meet interested and expert visitors with specific problems and discuss with
them tailored solutions.
The world's leading IEEE conference on the production of electric drives
complements the exhibition ideally and makes the E|DPC the leading meet-
ing place for industry and science to exchange information and ideas on the
production of electric drives and generators.
677 trade visitors and 31 exhibitors met at this year's E|DPC where the
quality of the event was highly valued. 84 percent of the visitors satisfied
fully or to a greater extent the aims of their visit*. And the quality of the
conversations at the exhibition reached a new high standard. 70 percent of
the visitors judged the trade conversations with the exhibitors to be very
good or good*. 250 conference delegates visited the parallel English lan-
guage IEEE conference where more than 82 technical presentations and
posters were delivered.
The results of the questionnaire underline the role of E|DPC as a platform for
communication and know-how exchange for the sector.
The exhibitors were satisfied with the event, too; customer care and net-
working were highly rated. 83 percent of the exhibitors will recommend
E|DPC to their customers and colleagues and 86 percent of the exhibitors
plan to exhibit at E|DPC again next year.

Know how exchange at the confernce
The „Evening Reception“ as a Networking Event
The IEEE international conference is an important meeting place for
decision-makers in the industry and informs during the conference in
practical and user-oriented sessions about current topics from the various
fields of electric drives and generators production.
In 78 technical sessions and 4 poster presentations, experts from leading
companies as well as representatives from universities and research
institutions showed practice-relevant trends in the production of electric
drives and generators. The opening of the conference was presented by
Prof. Jörg Franke, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, the Chairman of the
E|DPC conference and the keynote speech were held by Dr. Anton F.,
Siemens AG and Lelkes A., Baumüller AG.
The VDMA Forum Electromobility, E-MOTIVE, offered more exciting
presentations in parallel. Furthermore, a technical tour to a research
institution in the region were offered on the first conference day.
E|DPC
At the end of the first conference day, conference delegates, speakers,
committee members and exhibitors met at the traditional „Evening
Reception“ in the old historical town hall in Nuremberg. At this occasion,
new trends were exchanged and interesting contacts were build. The guests
concluded the first day in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying a flying buffet and
taking part of subsequent tours through the vaulted cellar under the
historical town hall or through the old town of Nuremberg.
