Our Grass Valley™ EDIUS® edit stations are superb standalone craft editors. They are also a perfect complement to our tapeless production solution, which touches the entire production process, from acquisition, ingest, and media browsing to nonlinear editing, craft editing, and automated playout. And they support our Infinity™ series of products for EFP and ENG tasks.

Each EDIUS edit station is designed to support the real-time editing of all popular high and standard-definition (HD and SD) formats including Canopus® HQ, Canopus Lossless, DV, DVCAM, HDV, DVCPRO, MPEG-2, and uncompressed video while also supporting emerging file-based formats such as Infinity JPEG 2000*, P2, VariCam, and XDCAM.

EDIUS Broadcast – cost-Effective Platform for Any Workflow

Designed for mobile professionals working with DV, HDV, and tapeless formats in busy production workflows, our EDIUS laptop edit station is an affordable, high-performance SD and HD solution. It’s a perfect complement to other EDIUS edit stations or it can stand alone as a powerful-yet-affordable craft-editing system.

Because of its cost-effective design, you can put an EDIUS Broadcast laptop edit station in the hands of every mobile editor. The system includes internal storage and a DVD±RW dual-layer drive and features a widescreen Brightview display for a flexible mobile editing experience.

Format-Independent craft Editing

The heart of the EDIUS Broadcast laptop system, like that of each EDIUS edit station, is a combination of high-performance hardware and nonlinear editing software. This combination provides a true, real-time editing experience—one that’s perfect for advanced craft editing involving multiple formats, layers, camera shots, and complex nested sequences.

With an EDIUS Broadcast laptop edit station, you can mix SD and HD assets in the same timeline, making it perfect for documentaries, commercials, interstitials, and other complex or long-form craft-editing projects, regardless of the source or output format.

Exchange Assets Freely

The projects and assets you create on one EDIUS edit station can be freely moved and exchanged with another for a truly mobile editing experience*. And by using REV PRO™ drives and removable media, you can move projects from one location to another without losing changes or missing asset files.

*As real-time playback performance depends on a system’s specification, an EDIUS laptop system may not be able to perform real-time playback of a project created on a higher-end EDIUS edit station.
