It gives me great pleasure to know
that KV INS Dronacharya is
bringing out a E-Newsletter, for
the academic year 2017-18. I am
sure this will showcase the
impressive, outstanding
achievements and activities in all
spheres for the year.
Aristotle has rightly said,
“Educating the mind without
educating the heart is no
education at all”.
KVS is deeply committed to the
holistic development of the
personality of the students,
taking care of their mind and
body and moulding them into
strong, responsible and reliable
citizens of the nation.
In fact, newsletter gives
opportunities to the student to
express their views, showcase the
talent of budding artists.
I Wish the Vidyalaya and
students all success and
appreciate the effort taken by the
editorial board.
Principal, Mrs.Maya Geroge

Welcome to the enchanting world of
fun, transformation and growth of
KV INS Dronacharya. It is a mini-
India with diversity from Kashmir to
Kanyakumari.
The classes for class 1 started on 1st April. The classrooms got decorated for students of class I and were welcomed with sweets and smiles to make them feel very homely on their first day at school.
The tiny tots took no time to settle down to the fun frolic environment of the Vidyalaya. Here the teacher does the role of a facilitator, a guide, a mentor, a parent and an all-rounder in the life of a child.
Investiture ceremony was held in
the school auditorium on July 20,
2017. Primary pupil leader,
House Captains, Vice Captains
and class leaders received badges

concept of KVS to help the
child towards positive change
and wholesome personality

ample opportunities for children at a
young age to explore their potentials
and provide more chance to exploit
it.

In spite of the clean and green
ambience we continue to add to the
pristine beauty of the Vidyalaya with
the help of our students and
teachers. Weeding is done at proper
intervals by the students with the
help of the gardener. Tending of the
plant also is an ongoing process.
The primary section of the school
started a NURSERY PROGRAMME.
As part of this saplings of mango,
jack fruit etc were planted. Students
were asked to bring seeds of
vegetables. Grow bags were
procured and seeds were planted.
The children are given opportunity
to nurture and take care of the
plants. This in turn motivates them
to grow their own kitchen garden.
The fresh and organically produced
vegetables provide healthy
vegetables to the Vidyalaya
community.

My mom often speaks
Of good old days
Chirping city sparrows,
Gushing waters in villages
Streaming lakes
And green paddy fields.
Now in my city, I wonder
City sparrows! Where are you?
I yearn to wake up
Hearing the birds’ songs
Alas! Gone are those days, mom says.
The glory of the sunshine
On a fresh morn.
Now in my city, I wonder
City sparrows! Where are you?
Pollutions -fumes, smoke, noise
Smog in Delhi, Kochi is next
Greenery gone, concrete jungles beyond
Beat the heat, plant more trees,
Bring back the greenery to me.
BRING BACK THAT GREENERY TO ME

Once, there was a lady bug who was
very selfish and self-praising. He was
also jealous of his young sister because
his parents, friends and relatives
always cared more for her, paid
attention to her and most always took
her on trips. The lady bug said, “Hmm!
They like her more than me! It’s not
fair! I am the bravest in the troop, I am
the cleverest too. So, I must get all the
attention, care and they should take
me on trips. Aha! I know what to do! I
just need some sticks, spider’s web
tread and some mud. So he asked Mr
Pecky the wood pecker for sticks, he
asked Mr Creepy the spider for spider
web tread and finally he asked
Mr Wiggy , the Piggy for mud. Now he
has everything he wanted. First, he put
some mud on his leg, then he stuck the
sticks using the mud. Finally, he used
the spider web’s thread as a bandage.
“Nice”! said the lady bug with pride.
Then he acted as if he was crying. His
mother saw him with the fractured leg.
She came running to him. She said,
“What happened my darling?”. The lady
bug said in reply,
“Ma, I fell down from a hill!”
“I will call your Daddy and we will take
you to Dr. Buzz-Buzz the honey bee’s
clinic”.
“Come Daddy, I fell down from a hiIl
“What!? “
“Come, let’s go.”
They reached at Dr. Buzz-Buzz’s cli
“Oh! I see.” Said Dr Buzz-Buzz.
“I better use my needle to give
an injection.”
“No” cried the lady bug.
But still the injection was given.
After some time she came back
and said, “The patient should not
eat rich food for a month.
“No “said the lady bug. But still
his mother obeyed. “Mom, tomorrow
there is a a school trip to Queen
Honey Bee’s Castle. Dr Buzz-Buzz
came back
and said, “The patient mustn’t go
for trips
for a year”.
“No “, cried the lady bug. But still
his mother obeyed.
“Mom, I need to tell you something.”
He told the truth. His father said,
“Even though you do not have
any problem, you must follow
the Doctor’s rules.
“What ?”
“Well, that is your punishment.”

Comb your hair and look tidy, Go to school on time.

A TRIP TO WONDERLA !
Early in the morning by 5 O’clock we woke up without mummy’s wake-up call. We brushed our teeth and started our journey by 7O’clock.We stopped
our car at a hotel and had some tea and breakfast. On reaching Wonder la, we got our tickets and a locker. We changed our dresses, Keeping our bags, sandals and dress inside safely,
we went to play. First, we went to a
caterpillar ride and I was a bit afraid in the beginning. After that, I enjoyed it very much. Next, we visited a cave named Balaraman cave. It was fully dark and thrilling inside the cave. We heard different kinds of sounds and
devilish toys. I was so scared that I closed my eyes. However, my mother encouraged me to enjoy the experience saying, those were all graphics.
IMPORTANCE OF TIME
Time is precious, powerful and strong.
Time is free of cost but no one can sell
it or buy it.
Time never waits for anyone. It comes and goes but never stays.
We must use our time in doing some useful works.
We should make the timetable to do
our work at right time.
We shouldn’t waste our time.
Time will bless us with happiness, Joy and Prosperity in our life.

I got the opportunity to dive and float
on water waves. It was really nice and I
enjoyed it. It was a different experience
for me. It was my first experience in
water waves even without knowing
swimming. When I went to the
swimming pool, I saw many kids trying
to swim. I went to the Rain Disco. It was
really amazing-The colourful lights and
the music were very nice. After this we
had our lunch and went home. For me
this trip was something like a dream
because, I had visited many places, Taj
Mahal, Kurukshetra, zoos and parks
but, the place I enjoyed the most was
Wonderla.

Little Tiger hated water. He never took
a bath and he refused to swim in the
cool pond even on the hottest days.
“You’re filthy and your fur is smelly!
You need a wash, ‘said Mummy tiger

to the bank when he realized how
wonderfully cool he felt and how much
fun it was to splash! Now little tiger
loves swimming in the pool every day
and he is very clean too!

MOTHER
Mother, it is a
sweet word
which means
everything for
me. When I
think of my
mother, I feel
very proud,
because she
is a real gem for me. I love her very
much as she cares for me a lot.
Wherever I feel sad, I want to be in
her lap, feeling the full security
which no one can give me in this
world. I share all my feelings with
her. Every day we chat with each
other after I reach home. One
important thing I noticed in her is
her patience. She listens to me
patiently. She has a solution for my
every problem. I want to be like her
– loving and caring.

NATURE
How beautiful is our nature!
The cause of survival holding us
Under its shade of greenery
Without whom we are nothing
How beautiful is our nature!
The cause of our existence
The sky that shields us
The food that keeps us
The breeze that cools us
The water bodies that quenches us
Are all the gifts of nature
How beautiful is the nature!
