These pits will allow a geotechnical engineer, McElhanney Consulting Services, to evaluate the condition of soil and rock in preparation for the Tofino Housing Corporation’s (THC) affordable and attainable housing project. THC anticipates the development of 35 units of housing in a mix of affordable townhouses and apartments. The Tofino Bible Fellowship is planning for the development of a further 20 units of rental housing and a small community resource centre that will host a variety of community programs.
