From the President:
Well another year will soonbe ending. Your club ac-complished some very goodthings this year. The roads
were graveled, graded, andmade passable. There were anumber of volunteers formowing which made the taskeasier for all. Thank you.Your club hosted two ASAarchery shoots and a youthindoor archery program was
well attended. Our trap pro-gram had the best attendancein many years, averagingabout twenty shooters perweek. The modular homehad new windows, whichwere really needed, installed. The old greenhouse behind
the modular was demolishedand the debris removed.Overall the club had accom-plished much and we spent alot of money. That is ok; wespend all income on the club.
On the agenda for next year, noting we hope to keep ex-penditures to a minimum in2020. The past several yearswe have spent almost all ofour yearly income. The fol-lowing is planned for 2020:the ingress and egress roads
will have gravel added, begraded and compacted thisyear., the lower parking lotwill have gravel added, be
graded and compacted, and themain entrance doors to thedownstairs will be upgraded. The board intends to keep allspending in 2020 to a minimumand only spend on absolutely
necessary things.
On the issue of money, theboard and membership willvote in November, whether, ornot, to: increase membershipdues ten dollars ($10.00) for"all" membership categories.
The club has not increased duesfor many years, but believe itnecessary due to the increasedcost of hired maintenance andlabor. The cost of boat stickersfor non-club members tolaunch their watercraft may beincreased from twenty dollars
($20) to twenty-five ($25) forthe first watercraft. Additionalwatercraft will remain at the tendollar ($10) rate. The rental ratefor the upper hall for non-members may be increased byfifty dollars ($50) to two hun-dred dollars. These increases
are minimal, but absolutely nec-essary. Please attend the No-vember 5th membership meet-ing. Your vote counts and isvery much needed.
Officers and directors will be
elected at the November meet-ing also. Nominees are: Ar-chery Director NormZakrzewski; Membership andSunshine Director Judy Speed;
Conservation and WaterfrontJim Moore; there were notany nominees for Vice Presi-dent.
We will also be voting on a
"few" changes to our Consti-tution and Bylaws. Theywere presented to the mem-bership and board in Octoberand will be reviewed beforethe votes are taken.
Finally, our Annual Nightparty will be on December7th this year. You will bereceiving your invitation andreservation in the mail soon.We are raffling off a Reming-ton combo shotgun. Youmust be present to buy a
ticket and win. Also, themoney in the membershipdrawing will be given to somelucky club member, you mustbe at the event to win if yourname is drawn for the$263.00. Dinner will be ca-tered by Grady's again this
year. The same menu as lastyear, same cost as last year$12.50 per person. Entreesare Bourbon Glazed Chickenand Beef Brisket, you getboth if you so choose. Pleasejoin us for an evening of fun, good food, and prizes.
