Mrs Odou has been conducting intensive rehearsal sessions with the students and teachers over the past fortnight, with finishing touches to all aspects of the performance being finalised. It promises to be a wonderful night and an experience that you and your children will never forget. You would have by now received information regarding costumes, drop-off times and any other relevant information, but if you have any questions or queries in regard to the concert, I encourage you to talk to your childs/childrens class teacher/s prior to next week. If you have not as yet purchased tickets or would like to purchase more, they are still available online via Trybooking. A DVD of the concert is being produced professionally and will be available for purchase. Orders of the DVD made by this Friday will be $5 cheaper than orders made after this date. Details of the ordering is outlined in the bulletin on the concert information page. 2018 Enrolments We are currently accepting new enrolments for 2018 across all year levels and especially for next year s Prep classes. If you have not as yet enrolled your child in Prep it would be appreciated if you could finalise this as soon as possible. The office staff are only too happy to assist with this process and provide you with all the relevant documentation and information. Alternatively, you may know of a family who are considering enrolling their child here at Greythorn. Please encourage them to book into our weekly tours, or if they are unavailable at these times, they can contact the school to make alternative arrangements to visit. Drop-off & Pick-up Parking As is the case every morning and afternoon on school days, the streets surrounding the school are congested with traffic. It is imperative for the movement of traffic, as well as the safety of the students, that parking restrictions and road rules are adhered to by everyone. This is particularly relevant to Reading Ave as it becomes extremely congested each day with the amount of cars turning in from Greythorn Rd. A 2 minute parking restriction applies in Reading Ave in the mornings from 8 - 9:15am and in the afternoons from 3 4pm. It is exceedingly frustrating for many parents when this restriction is abused and cars park for lengthy periods of time and block access to the safe drop-off and pick-up points. When this occurs, cars bank up on Greythorn Rd very quickly causing further congestion and hazardous road conditions. I ask that everyone please adhere to the parking restrictions around the school to assist with traffic flow, student safety and the frustration levels of all road users. Family Bowling Night The PFA has organised a wonderful night of fun this Saturday from 6 – 9pm at the Healthways Recreation Centre in Mont Albert North. Those in attendance will have exclusive use of the bowling lanes for unlimited games. Tickets for the event can be purchased online via Trybooking. Monday Assembly Due to concert preparations as well as many students being involved in the ICAS tests, there will be no assembly next Monday.

Parent Opinion Survey The Parent Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is conducted amongst a sample of randomly selected parents at each school. The survey will be conducted online by ORIMA Research Pty Ltd between Monday, August 7 and Sunday, August 27 and only takes 15 minutes to complete. Information regarding the survey will be sent out shortly to the randomly selected families. If you are selected to complete the survey then I urge you to do so as it provides valuable information to the Department and the school.
