ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our wonderful 2016-17 PTA Executive Board is

coming to the end of its term and the PTA Nominating Committee is looking for parents who will step into leadership roles for 2017-18. Some of our current PTA Board members are parents of 5th graders and will be leaving the school. Others are termed out in their current positions. Some are willing and able to stand for re-election. But it’s also time for some new people to join the board and move us forward to next year.

The Edison PTA is very important organization. It provides an important forum for parents to meet together and supports parent education and leadership development. PTA organizes signature community events like Fall Festival, Valentine’s Dance and fundraisers like the Jogathon, family dinners at school events, movie nights, and the Corazon de Vida Project. And as a non-profit organization, PTA turns most of the funds that it raises into grants that directly benefit our students. When we all wait for someone else with more time or more experience to step forward, we end up with key positions being unfilled. Please contact Maria Loya ([email protected]) or Lori Orum ([email protected]) before spring break if you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else.

ANUNCIOS

benefician directamente a nuestros estudiantes.
