250 tombstones, 14, 270 bodies Stones date back to 13th century and are

written in Latin Covenanters Prison

Who were they? Many were tortured and buried at Greyfriars

Persecuted the Scottish Presbyterians known as Covenanters

Was known for enjoying sending the Covenanters to he gallows

surrounding area?

Homeless man broke into the tomb(1998) 1999, 450 documented attacks, 140 caused

witnesses to collapse City closed Mausoleum, only City of the Dead
