Company Section Musician of the Year JS Indoor Football The Musician of the Year Competition is being held
on Tuesday 28th November 2017 at North Esk
Church in Musselburgh. The competition is open to
all Company and Senior Section Boys. Entry forms

Entry forms are available online. The indoor
football will take place on Sunday 21st January
2018 at Meadowmill Sports Centre from 1pm to

Skills-based Training for Queen’s Badge
Candidates working towards Queen's Badge must complete Skills-based training no less than 6 months prior to attending a Completion Residential. In practice, this means attendance at a skills course should be undertaken at the earliest possible opportunity. There are a number of places available at up-coming courses run by Scottish Headquarters at Carronvale. If you have yet to book places for this training, please see below. Booking should be made directly via Scottish Headquarters at Carronvale. If you wish to discuss this, please contact your Adviser.

Emergency First Aid Building Your Skills – For Boys This year we have scheduled 2 dates for Emergency First
Aid Training, those completing YLT who do not hold a
current certificate must register for this course.
This is a half day course (starts 9am – 1:00pm) which
covers the very basics and will be run by a qualified
instructor from British Red Cross.

Resource – Sports Mission Pack Christians in Sport has produced a fantastic faith development resource. The Sport Mission Pack is full of ideas and resources – from sports quizzes, to holding one-off events and much more. Visit their website to find out more.
Cumbrae Camp 2018
After a successful event in May 2017, BB Scotland is again organising a national
canvas camp on Cumbrae next year. No previous experience of residentials is
necessary and it is hoped to have even more companies involved in the 2018
event!
The four-day event runs from 25th - 28th May and, including all activities and
meals, will cost £80 per person. Please visit the website to find out more.

Queensferry Crossing 31st Edinburgh Company were pleased to accept the once in a lifetime opportunity and be part of the select few who were
given the opportunity to experience the Queensferry Crossing in August.

Fordell Firs Adventure Day To start the session off an Adventure day was arranged for our young members to visit Fordell Firs for a day filled with a
selection of activities to try. The day went well with all enjoying the activities offered.

The Never Such Innocence Executive Committee is delighted to invite you to our roadshow at
Edinburgh Castle, Castlehill, Edinburgh EH1 2NG on Thursday 7th December 2017
kindly hosted by Major General M L Riddell-Webster CBE DSO, Governor of Edinburgh Castle.
Never Such Innocence is a charity established to engage young people (aged 9-16) in commemorating the Great War through poetry, art and music. We are looking forward to engaging with local young people to highlight the contribution made by all during
the First World War.
