4. SW work together and come up with at least 5 different things about the community helper they are working on.

SW come up as a group and share what they learned about the helper they worked together on.8. TW ask students if any of them had the experience of any of these helpers helping them, and if

they don’t mind sharing to share with us. Make sure they understand that they don’t have to share if they don’t want to!

Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding?

The students will turn in the paper they wrote the information on. This will tell the teacher if they understood what the helpers do for the community.

Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. The students will have written down what the helper does and how it helps the community.

H. Closure: Students will share their findings with the class.

The modeling of what is expected of the students.2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach?

Making sure the students are doing what they are supposed to be doing at their stations.

3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? The students will be learning how they can be part of the community by helping out at their school.

4. What can you do for students who don’t grasp the concepts?Get a copy of each groups helper, give to those students and then have them look at the information at the stations for them to take notes or to refer to the information and notes.

5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change?I can’t think of anything that I would change in the lesson.
