There is a whole section of fraction games for students at every level. There is matching
game, a pacman game that they cleverly renamed Equivalent Fractions Mathman and
other fun fraction games that strengthen their skills in this area. For the purpose of this
assignment, I chose to play the game titles Simple Fraction Matching. There are two
rows of both pictorial representations of fractions as well as written forms of the fraction.
The object of the game is to match the picture of the fraction to the actual fraction itself.
The faster you match the two, the higher score you get.
Math Game #2

fun/games/game_action_fraction.html
The name of this game is Action Fraction and the objective is to add and subtract frac-
tions with common denominators. Each time you get the answer correct, the race car
(who is racing against two other cars) moves forward past the other cars until eventually
it gets to the finish line. I thought this game was great for the kiddos who are just begin-
ning to understand adding and subtracting fractions.
Math Game #3

This activity was named MathPup Match and was like the game memory where you
have to match two items before they disappear from the list. The objective was to match
equivalent fractions and clear the board. When the board was clear you moved to the

next level. There was a hard, harder, and hardest level which was great for students
who want the option of challenging themselves with more difficult problems.
Math Game #4

The name of this game is Melvins Make a Match and the objective is to match up frac-
tions that have the same value. It starts by you clicking on any of the bottles o the shelf
and then you have to click the other bottle that you think is the equivalent picture of the
fraction that you chose first. The two bottles are put on a scale and Melvin the Magician
weighs the fraction and tells you if they are equal or not. Once you clear the shelf you
move on to the next level.
Math Game #5
http://www.softschools.com/math/fractions/games/
The name of this game is The Pizza Game and the object of the game is the drag and
drop the pizza slices onto the plates to match the fractions. There are two plates with a
separate fraction over the top. You have to drag the amount of slices needed on each
plate to complete the fraction that is listed. This is a great game for beginners who arejust being introduced to fractions. It gives them real life visuals of pizza and is great
practice for basic fraction.
