A MORE-DEADLY EBOLA
Ebola is a rare but deadly virus that causes bleeding inside and outside
the body. As the virus spreads through the body, it damages the
immune system and organs. Ultimately, the disease kills up to 90% of
people who are infected. It has been on rampage, majorly in countries
such as Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. It has also been discovered in
some parts of Nigeria. The question is what is its’ nature and similarity
with a much more deadly virus, sin? Find out as you read.
Ebola spreads very easily even just by mere contact. Sin spreads faster:
starting with the first man at creation – Adam – now the whole world
is full of its infection. Even the Bible confirms it: “All have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:2). Sin is a more serious virus.
Have you considered the similarity of Ebola’s end-result with that of
the sin virus? When you do, you realize that they both lead to death.
While one leads to physical death, the other leads to ‘eternal death’.
Remember, “the wages of sin is death”. Hell Fire is the damnation for
those who never get cured of sin. You may ask, how can God send
sinners into hell? I want to answer: if the Ebola epidemic is,
unmercifully killing thousands, how much more sin?
Thank God you are free from the Ebola virus but are you free from sin?
If no, why not? As I continued in my observation, I realized a difference
between these two viruses. Ebola has no cure while sin has a cure. You
will be most foolish to know you are sin-infected and yet not get cured
of it. Just as you identify an Ebola victim by the symptoms, so, do you
identify a sinner by the sins he/she commits. Sin is wickedness. God
hates it. The sins of lying, stealing, lust, pornography, masturbation,
fornication, evil thoughts etc are all from the devil. Be reminded that
no one was born without sin; hence, you need to be sin-free. “As it is
written, there is none righteous, no, not one...for all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God”. The Bible says in 1John 1:9 – “If we
say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves”. Hence, if you identify
any symptom of sin in your life, you need a cure.
JESUS is the cure for sin! If He never came for the rescue of humanity,
by now the sin virus should have brought us into extinction. Therefore,
if you want to get cured of the sin virus and do not want to perish,
allow Doctor Jesus to operate on you now. “…If we confess our sins, he
(Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse from all
unrighteousness” (1John1:9). “For God so loved the world, that he
gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should
not perish but have everlasting life” (John3:16). Why not decide for
Christ now before it gets too late? Yes, it could be too late if you die as
a sinner! You may not have the opportunity of salvation from sin if you
hesitate. So, RUN TO JESUS for your freedom.
Do you want to be cured of your sins? God is ready to heal you now as
you repeat this simple prayer: “Almighty God, I pray in Jesus’ name
that you look down with mercy on me, a guilty sinner. Forgive my sins
of… (Name them one by one, don’t hide any). I promise, through your
grace and help, never to go back into them again. Please make me
your child now as I accept you now as my personal Lord and Saviour.
Thank you, O God, for I believe you have answered my prayer. In Jesus’
name I have prayed. Amen”.
Do this now as urgently and as correctly as you carry out a doctor’s
instruction. Turn away from all sins and decide in your heart never to
go back to them. Tell God to cleanse you. He will answer immediately
if you pray with faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He will
change your life and set your feet on the path of godliness and
righteousness. Then eternity with God in heaven will be yours.
Remember, Ebola is deadly but SIN IS MORE DEADLY!
