Participant RequirementsWhile these are online courses, each student will

belongto a class, or cohort. This means that you completeassignments with the class, have open discussions,interact with the instructor, and even have office hourswith the instructor. The classes are done in anasynchronous format which means students do nothave to be on the computer at a specific time.

There is LOTS of reading and LOTS of homework. Anaverage class takes 6-10 hours to complete. You canexpect that the instructor will RETURN your homeworkand ask you to redo parts of it. The class takes placeover a specific time period (two weeks) and youmust complete your homework during that time. It's alsomandatory that you participate in the group discussionsand fill out a profile on yourself so you can interact withyour fellow students.

To offer this program, we must abide by usage guidelines

Conservation International has access to 200 free seats/year for eCornell courses provided that:

• 80% of the courses are taken by employees who live in developing countries (US & Australia employees only eligible for 40 of 200 seats)

• 80% completion rates for all courses must be maintained or we will lose the privilege of offering these free of charge
