SOPHIA AND HER HUSBAND WANTED TO BUILD A BETTER LIFE for their new family and infant daughter, but weren't sure where to turn. United Way of Tarrant County’s Pathways program made it easy by bringing services, programs and referrals together in one place. Sophia took a dental assistant training to gain skills, and job training workshops to gain confidence. She got a great full-time job as a dental assistant. Meanwhile, the couple worked with a financial coach to make a plan to play off credit card debt and save money. They were finally able to afford a car. And now, they’re buying a home. Sophia feels optimistic about the future.
