United Way of Tarrant County’s Pathways program made it easy by bringing services, programs and referrals together in one place. Sophia took a dental assistant training to gain skills, and job training workshops to gain confidence. She got a great full-time job as a dental assistant. Meanwhile, the couple worked with a financial coach to make a plan to play off credit card debt and save money. They were finally able to afford a car. And now, they’re buying a home. Sophia feels optimistic about the future. 181,014 volunteers
