Answer these questions:
Why was silk valued by the Romans?
What other items were held in high value during that time?
What are some ways the Silk Road could have affected civilizations in the area?

Bar Graph
Create a bar graph showing how many items are imported from other countries
Write how many of each item came from each country under the bar and then write the total number of items off to the side
Remember to label your axis!
Percentages
To find percentage, you divide the part by the whole and then multiply by 100
For example, you have one pizza cut into eight slices. You and your friends ate six slices. What percentage of the pizza did you eat? 6 (the part) / 8 (the whole) = .75 x 100 = 75%
Which country contributed the highest percentage of goods?

Find each country listed in your T-chart/bar graph on your map
Color each country
Find and mark the most efficient trade routes from those countries to the United States
