WelcomeCouncillor Mike HakataCabinet Member for Environment, Transport and the Climate Emergency and Deputy Leader of the Council

We are at an historic and global turning point. The reality of what is at stake and the timeframe we are working within becomes more apparent with every passing season. The magnitude of the task ahead is such that it demands we all pull together and work collaboratively to achieve our shared goal which is nothing less than preserving the future of the planet. The way forward is to think global whilst working together and acting local. The Go Green Eco Festival is a celebration of that collaborative work, bringing together local people, local business, grassroots campaigns and projects and the public sector, sharing ideas, expertise and inspiration. This festival highlights local passion and dedication to all things green and how, by pooling our energy and commitment, we can transform the world for the better.
