has a supply of green Irish tote bags left over from the Pittsburgh Folk Festival. Just the thing to store your parade gear, or to take to the grocery store when you’re doing your part for the environment. Each is big and sturdy enough to hold two gallons of milk and a carton of eggs, and the message reads, “We Irish have always been green.” The tote bags are $3.00 each, or 2 for $5.00, or 5 for $10.00. You can pick

them up at Khalil’s Restaurant, 4757 Baum Blvd in the East End. While you’re there, consider a lamb shank dinner, which, John swears, reminds him of his grandmother’s Irish cooking. Or try their baklava, made with Irish butter, and an Arabic coffee which you can have with a dash of Irish cheer, courtesy of Mr. Bailey. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday 4 – 9 pm.
