THE ECHELON 3 STEPS TO SUCCESS

We firmly believe that the quality of our people, our culture and our mindset is what defines us as a company. It is this belief that has led us to develop The 3 Steps to Success system.

STEP 1: Selection

STEP 2: Training & Development STEP 3: Mobilisation

SELECTION

Echelon have experienced personnel who have been hands-on in the industry, and have led and delivered complex and major projects that were focused on positive safety outcomes and efficiency and understand the Echelon values and culture.

For every project, our client’s procedures are reviewed by experienced offshore managers, superintendents and senior supervisors to ensure total understanding of our client and their requirements. From our extensive database of personnel, we then hand pick applicants we believe will deliver the very best for our client.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Echelon provide personnel who have undertaken our rigorous training and development package to place them in the best possible position to deliver a project that is safe, efficient, on schedule and with minimal IR issues. We create a mindset and culture like no other.

Echelon Training Packages

Safety awareness training

Adapting our trademarked “Are You Safe 360 Safety System” we train people to be on a continuous circle of learning. Safety is about “Me” as the individual, “You and I” as colleagues and “Them” as the wider group/teams within the project.

For every project, we review our client’s procedures, risk assessments, JHA’s etc on a confidential basis. We develop fit for the projects lessons learnt sessions that capture near misses, incidents from similar projects. We give our teams the best safety awareness training that will deliver incident free projects. We back our commitment to the term “safety and efficiency can co-exist” by sending offshore,

an experienced mentor who understands the industry and will work with the client and crew, to set the project up for success.

Schedule Awareness Training

We review our client’s procedures and schedule on a confidential basis. We develop fit for the projects lessons learnt sessions that capture opportunities and pitfalls. We tailor the session so that the key personnel understand some of the commercial challenges the project operates under. We deliver a crew who understands your expectations, and will work towards delivering them. We understand the implications of missing targets and budgets.

Industrial relations awareness training

We understand the challenging nature of IR management in the workplace. We use lessons learnt from similar projects, and develop our key personnel to be self-leaders who understand that IR issues are linked to schedule and can and must be well managed to avoid disruptions. All our personnel will know how to work within the current EBA’s

Supervisor training

Above and beyond all other training, a specialised training package is designed to prepare our supervisors to deliver a safe and efficient project and to foster the Echelon mindset and culture. By upskilling and training our Supervisors to deliver what the client expects, makes us the crewing provider of choice.

Cultural awareness training

Lack of cultural awareness has been known to cause unwanted pinch points in a project. Our in-house cultural awareness training is led by our professional coach and trainer and has been recognised by major construction companies working in various parts of the world.

MOBILISATION

Echelon teams are fully trained and inducted prior to mobilisation, with each employee fully briefed on the project objective and the specific roles that they will play in delivering a safe and efficient project. Our experience over the years in delivering hundreds of construction projects in offshore and remote locations will ensure that the supply chain and logistics are thoroughly examined and confirmed prior to commencement.

PROJECT DELIVERY

Our documented systems and procedures will deliver the consistent quality outcomes required to ensure a safe and efficient project. We capture and document technical and safety related lessons to generate an endless circle of learning, review and re learn, this is the mindset that creates the Echelon culture.

CAPACITY AND EXPERIENCE

The ability to successfully manage an offshore project comes down to the culture and the mindset of the team. We believe this relates to:

● The Experience of the leaders and how they lead their team

Echelon Offshore Group - A Joint Venture between Cater Care and O&G Page | 7

● The skills and experience of the employees and their self-leadership skills ● The Management systems and processes to help and support the experience and skills of the

ECHELON DELIVERABLES

Safety Health & Environment

Echelon is committed to supporting our people in the pursuit of success. This philosophy is also applied to safety, health and the environment (SHE). Success means completing a day without injury, maintaining 100% capacity to work and contributing positively to the environment.

To motivate our people we use positive language. We believe people are inspired to work towards a positive outcome rather than to avoid a negative outcome. We adapt to local conditions on every site. We develop customised Site SHE Management Plans that comply with client, government and our own requirements. Working conditions vary on a day-to-day basis. To address this, we have embraced the concept of adaptive safety, we recognise flexibility is needed when completing daily tasks. To support this process we encourage our personnel to make informed decisions by providing relevant and easy to access information. Essentially we create an environment promoting opportunities to learn and to draw on their growing knowledge and experience. Through being outcome focused Echelon is invested in continual improvement. We encourage innovative thinking and are open minded when it comes to our approach to SHE. We are proving you can have a different approach to SHE while at the same time maintain a structured management system which is certified to AS/NZS 4801:2001 and AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.

Quality

Echelon’s approach to Quality Assurance (QA) is to apply carefully considered QA whenever a process is complex, has implications for other processes, or has wide or repetitious application. Our Quality Management System is certified to AS ISO 9001:2008 and AS ISO 22000:2005.

To define our QA procedure we have adopted all ISO Quality Management Principles to ensure we achieve a customer focused, user friendly quality system.

Integrated Document Management System

Echelon utilise the Google Apps platform for our integrated document management system. Google Apps offers a cloud based document control system, filing system and document sharing platform. The system is accessible remotely and connects all head office staff to remote site management teams in real time.

By using this type of 24/7 operating system, our managers spend less time in front of a computer screen and more time overseeing the daily operations. It also provides access to our operational managers and group support function – a flexible system that offers a high level of business security and also an integrated and consistent service approach.

Food Safety

We operate strict operating procedures to ensure that all food production is monitored, controlled and verified using documented forms and registers to record process steps. Every operation has a specific Food Safety Plan in place to ensure all hazards are identified, control measures are put in place and verified using monitoring forms. Food safety plans are ISO accredited to AS ISO 22000:2005.

FOOD

Cater Care will extend access to its General Manager – Food, Sean Anderson and his culinary team that provide direction and minimum standards for our menus and food production. Utilising his vast industry experience, Sean will direct the culinary team to focus on the key ingredients of successful food service:

• An adaptable, cost effective and a seasonal approach to menu planning. • The matching of high quality, fresh produce and wholesome ingredients. • Consistent preparation and presentation of each dish.

Food Service System

Empowering and supporting our people offshore to achieve our commitments is of paramount importance to us. With this in mind, the Food Service System (FSS) has been developed to clearly explain the standards that support our food commitments in a logical and structured manner. Some of the FSS modules include:

• Menu Planning for Satisfaction and Cost Control • Presentation Standards – Team, Site and Food

• Hot Food Operating Standards

• Chilled Food Operating Standards

• Function Catering Operating Standards

• Food Standards Induction – New Starters

Each module is supported by a simple and visual standards document and training program.

Echelon Offshore Group - A Joint Venture between Cater Care and O&G Page | 12

Recipe Library

A key component of the FSS is the on-going development of our in-house recipe library which provides our employees with approved and nutritionally balanced menus. This in-house library provides an opportunity to: • Achieve a high and consistent quality of food preparation, flavour and presentation. • Minimise wastage (cost) in ordering, preparation, portioning and packaging. • Provide 'one point' advice on a recipes nutritional breakdown and allergen content.

My Choices

We are acutely aware of the ‘healthy eating’ challenge Australia faces. Studies show that people with good eating habits have lower medical costs, less compensation claims, less lost work days and are more productive. As a result, we are committed to encouraging healthy eating by offering menu choices that meet the ‘Australian Guide to Healthy Eating’ through our ‘My Choices’ program. The ‘My Choices’ program focuses on moderation, variety and providing options and education to assist the residents we cater for, to make informed choices at each meal.

We also recognise that ‘healthy eating’ can involve a range of medical, cultural, religious, lifestyle and specialised dietary requirements. We value the safety, health and beliefs of the residents we cater for and recognise that many individuals have allergies and intolerances to certain food types and ingredients. Our approach to medical, cultural, religious and lifestyle specialised dietary requirements through the My Choices program, follows current best practice, by ensuring that customers are provided with accurate information in accordance with the requirements of the ‘FSANZ Food Standards Code’.

The program is supported by a range of communication tools such as posters, ticketing, menu icons, and allergen labelling which ensure that our residents are supported in making the right choices for them.

HOTEL SERVICES

Echelon Offshore Group - A Joint Venture between Cater Care and O&G Page | 13

We understand the importance of a smiling face, and a welcoming environment at the end of a hard shift. Competent attentive staff are focused on the comfort of residents and the efficiency of operations - our service commitments underpin all of our activities. The core aim of our hotel services is to competently manage the day-to-day running of our client’s accommodation area from managing facility occupancy, room cleaning schedules and inventory, administration support services, register of maintenance requests, and most importantly representing our client and the vessel in a professional and friendly manner.

Cleaning Services

Ensuring customers are comfortable and provided with clean, well presented rooms is an important element to providing a sense of home within an Echelon managed facility. Our team understand the importance of delivering excellence when providing cleaning services and understand how important a first impression is.

Our cleaning personnel are able to provide a full suite of services including: • janitorial and cleaning

• personalised laundering service for residents

• linen laundering services

• asset lifecycle cleaning

The high standards we commit to achieve are strengthened with a number of cleaning procedures, staff training and schedules, all designed to encourage a safe work environment for our staff and customers as well as charting a clear set of standards.

Waste Management

We understand the requirements to minimise waste within an offshore facility, and ensure that all of our procedures are in line with the varying client requirements (including quarantine where relevant).

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint, and employ a wide range of strategies to assist with managing these responsibilities. To achieve these objectives we can assist with: • Identifying strategies to reduce the amount of packaging/waste material • Deliver recycling programs designed to reduce waste and free up deck space • Employ waste reduction control systems on site

The control systems include mechanised solutions (where relevant) such as; • Compactor/balers/crushers

Echelon Offshore Group - A Joint Venture between Cater Care and O&G Page | 14

• Organic food waste processors

Echelon is a Quality Assured business with Environmental Management systems compliant with ISO 14001:2004. It is these operating systems that provide the framework for the way in which we perform our daily operations in the area of waste management.

INDIGENOUS ENGAGEMENT

Echelon acknowledges and honours the Elders of all Indigenous peoples, past, present and future and the many countries they belong to and care for. We recognise the rich cultural diversity that exists across the areas we operate in, and that each area has its own language, country and cultural protocols that need to be respected.

Echelon’s vision for reconciliation is to work together with Indigenous people to create strong, sustainable futures through business, employment and education partnerships. Our vision is achieved through two-way learning: sharing our specific business knowledge and technical expertise with Indigenous peoples where appropriate, so they can build upon their current capabilities and gain meaningful employment; and to support professional growth and to provide encouragement toward the development of business opportunities.

Echelon will focus on listening and learning from Indigenous peoples about how to operate appropriately on their country and to enter a mutually beneficial economic partnership while delivering positive outcomes for Indigenous peoples in the areas of supplier development and contracting, employment and training, and community engagement.

Our vision recognises that reconciliation is about moving towards a better understanding of the past and how the past affects the lives of Indigenous peoples today, and our commitment to deliver our vision reflects this.
