Coastal Hunter Jumper
May 18 and 19, 2019 ECEC, Pensacola, Florida
Rated by Coastal and SLHJA
Welcome It’s already May! For those of you who joined us in April it was a great show. Thank you for your flexibility and we found a few surprises as we moved things around. Funny how that happens sometimes. We have been in Louisiana for our USEF shows the weeks prior to this show with really no days off so please be patient with us. If was fun to see some of you there! I hope that you had as much fun as we did. A few new things and a few that we have done before are in store for us in the month of May. We are bringing back the Mulligan Derby Fri-day night. It was great fun last year so we thought we would bring it back. We will jump it at 2’6” with a 2’9” options. If you have never done a Mulligan Derby it is a Derby style class with option fences to gather more points for your score. After your course you may ap-proach the judge while still in the ring and ask them to forgive one mis-take you think you made in your course if you made one. You can let your score stand or try to improve it. All of this done with out the coaching of your trainer. We did this class last May and it was a big hit. We will also be adding a few Hunter Classics over the weekend for special ribbons . Finally let me please announce that we are now a sanctioned series of Southeast Medal Finals. Every class you have participated in so far this year might have already qualified you for Southeast Medal Finals. I encourage all of you to check out their web-site to look at the specs for this. Thiese Finals include Hunter, Jumper and Medal riders. Don’t forget the CHJ Equitation Challenge! Looking forward to seeing everyone!
