WHAT IS WIRELESS HOME SECURITY SYSTEM ?
o These are electronic devices that are used for
security purposes either in home or at workplaceo Contains a battery operated control panel and
uses existing radio frequency wave to activate thebuilt in alarm control
o
There are no complicated and confusing wireconnections
o Easier and cheaper installation and more reliableas it can not be detactivated by mere cutting offew wires

HISTORY
o History dates back to mid 1800s when onJune 21, 1853, Augustus R.Pope ofSomervillew granted a patent on Electro-magnetic Alarms
o Marie Brown, an African-American inventordrew up the first basic but effective homesecurity system that utilized closed circuittelevision which was patented on December2, 1969
o It was a simple CCTV camera which wasbeing used to record the foot steps at thedoor and regulate the entry

NEED & IMPORTANCE
o The prime reason for choosing a home security system is obviously tosafeguard against theft burglary and other crimes
o When connected to a PC or cell phone it gives message when there is asecurity breach, gas leakage or fire
o It gives a remote access and 24x7 keep-a-watch facility, so while youare away from your home, you can lock/unlock your and keep a track ofany movement
o Provide the illusion that someone is home, boosts the credibility when itcomes to selling your house and moreover it very easy to install andcompact

HOW USED ??
o Wireless technology also allows a homeowner to control his wireless
home security system by way of a remote
o Using the advent of mobile devices and applications, a home securitytechnique could be activated by a telephone app controlling a system.
o even though a homeowner is miles away, turning on lights, air-conditioningand appliances if necessary, and checking the status of a program.

THE CC1010
o The brains of our system.
o It is a combination of a transceiver and a microcontroller.
o It has 32k of EEPROM and 2.125kB of RAM.
o It has built in encryption.
o It has a 24MHz system clock and a 32kHz real-time clock

12/23
THE CC1010
o It works best at 315, 433, 868 and 915 MHz but can work over the range of 300 MHz through 1GHz.
o Our model is fixed at 433MHz.
o It has a random bit generator.
o Its costs about $12, retail.
o It has an ADC
o It has a big antenna

MAIN PARTS cont.
S Passive Infrared sensors:S Do not emit any signals but just respond of the energy flow of the
environmentS Sense only rapid changes in heat levels.S Peak detector and comparator determine whether a signal is
strong enough to set off the alarm.S The alternative would be the ultrasonic sensors, however they use
too much power for our application
