eCampus Certification On-Demand Training

Instructors new to the colleges of DCCCD are required to take the eCampus Training in order to use our Blackboard (eCampus) Learning Management System. There are two on-demand training and certification options:

XDLP-2001: eCampus Online Training and Assessments Successful completion of this course is intended for faculty teaching face-to-face, online and/or hybrid classes*

XDLP-2003: eCampus Face-To-Face Certification This course is for faculty that only teach face-to-face classes

*In an online class, the instructor only interacts with students online. In a hybrid class, the instructor interacts with students in a classroom and online.

Note: Classes must be completed in one semester, including assessments.

Registration is online through eConnect; registration instructions are provided below.

Staff enrichment credit will be given upon successful completion. Grades will be entered in eConnect after you have completed the class/assessment. Please allow up to one week after completing the class to look for credit on your eConnect Staff Enrichment Report.

Registration Instructions

To Enroll in an eCampus online assessment:

STEP 1: Use a browser to navigate to the eConnect Main Menu (https://econnect.dcccd.edu).

STEP 2: Select Log In.

STEP 3: Enter your Login ID and Password, and then select SUBMIT.

STEP 4: Select Employee Menu in the main menu or from the tabs.

STEP 5: Select Register for Staff Enrichment in the Staff Enrichment Registration menu.

STEP 6: Complete only the Form fields indicated below.

Term: Select the current term

Course: Select XDLP from the list

Course #: 2001 or 2003

NOTE: You must leave all other fields blank.

STEP 7: Select Submit.

STEP 8: Select the checkbox for the course, and then select Submit.

Class Instructions

The class takes place in eCampus (ecampus.dcccd.edu). However, the course for which you registered will not immediately be available in eCampus. It should be available within 24 hours.

If you do not already have an eCampus login, it will be created for you (please allow 24 hours). You will use your DCCCD Single Sign-On credentials to log in to eCampus.

How To Log In to eCampus

To Log in to eCampus:

STEP 1: From the DCCCD Home Page (www.dcccd.edu) or any local campus website, select eCampus.

...OR

Select the Address box in your browser, and then enter: ecampus.dcccd.edu.

STEP 2: Select Access My Courses Now.

STEP 3: Enter your DCCCD Online Services 3x4 account, (for example, [email protected]), and then select Next.

STEP 4: If prompted to log in: a: Enter your DCCCD Online Services 3x4 account, (for example,

[email protected]). b: Enter your Single Sign-On password. This is the password you use to

log in to eConnect. c: Click the Sign in button.

STEP 5: If you are not on a DCCCD secure network, you may be required to authenticate that you are the valid account holder.

The type of authentication required depends upon how you configured Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). The image below indicates that the instructor is using the mobile authenticator app.

Other types of authentication may require entering a code sent to your MFA configured phone or email account.

NOTE: If prior to logging in to eCampus you have not enrolled in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Self Service Password Reset (SSPR), you will be directed to enroll before you can access your courses on eCampus.

You are now at the My DCCCD eCampus page.

Getting Started

Once you have logged in to eCampus, you will need to navigate to the course to work on it.

To Work on the course:

STEP 1: From the My DCCCD tab, locate the My Courses module, and then select the course you registered for.

STEP 2: Select Start Here in the course menu for instructions.

STEP 3: Use the Tutorial link(s) in the class menu to access the resources and quizzes (or quiz) for the course.

Viewing Your Grade Results

If you are inside eCampus, there are several ways to view grades for online eCampus Assessments. However, the official final grade for the class is posted in eConnect.

Quiz Results

Within an eCampus course, the My Grades link in the menu can be used to view quiz/assessment scores for the course.

To view a Quiz Grade from within a course:

To view a Quiz Grade from anywhere within eCampus:

STEP 1: Select the Open Global Navigational Menu icon.

STEP 2: Select the My Grades icon in the drop-down.

STEP 3: Select a course from the list to view grade results.

Printing a Certificate

Once you have successfully completed a course by passing all assessments with an 80% or above, you can print a certificate if you would like one.

Note: Successful completion of XDLP 2001, eCampus Online Teaching Certification, requires passing all four quizzes with a score of 80% or above.

To Print a Certificate after successful completion of a course:

STEP 1: Select Certificate of Completion (Optional) in the course menu.

STEP 2: Select eCampus Certification Certificate.

STEP 3: Select the Print Certificate icon.

STEP 4: Select the Print Certificate button when the certificate appears.

STEP 5: Save or Print: To Save the certificate, select to Print to PDF, and then select OK.

To Print the certificate, select your printer, and then select OK.

Note: Due to the eCampus Achievement settings, participants have to print out the certificate. The instructor cannot print certificates for participants.

Staff Enrichment Credit

Once you have successfully completed the assessment(s) and have been awarded Staff Enrichment credit, it can be used at any DCCCD location for eCampus accreditation.

To view Staff Enrichment credit:

STEP 1: Use a browser to navigate to the eConnect Main Menu (https://econnect.dcccd.edu).

STEP 2: Select Log In.

STEP 3: Enter your Login ID and Password, and then select SUBMIT.

STEP 4: Select Employee Menu in the main menu or from the tabs.

STEP 5: Select Staff Enrichment Report in the My Personal Information section.

STEP 6: Select a specific Term or All – Show all Terms.

STEP 7: Select the SUBMIT button.

STEP 8: The Staff Enrichment Report displays all the registered courses for the selected term and each course’s grade, number of credits and term.

Completed assessment(s) and awarded Staff Enrichment credit are transferable to any college in the DCCCD.

Important: A final grade of Course Complete (CP) will be entered in eConnect and will receive full credit points. Online assessments that have not been successfully completed will have a Not Completed (NC) and will not receive any credit.
