Nursery Care is being provided every week, during the
worship service, for children from birth through and including
Kindergarten age [unless you are providing the Nursery Care,
then an older child/children may accompany you]. Thank
you to all who are volunteering their time in the Nursery.
Your help is still needed each month.
Our donations have been overwhelmingly good,
but we still need willing workers to help with this project.

ARE YOU DOING ALL YOU CAN TO ENRICH YOUR LIFE AND EMPOWER YOUR
INNER SPIRIT?
Do you know what Ebenezer’s adult Sunday School is all about? Take a look.
1. Discussions of Christian behaviors to live by
2. Learning Bible basics, and favorite Bible stories
3. Relating Bible experiences and teachings, to our everyday experiences
4. Voluntary group sharing of thoughts and experiences, and good Christian fellowship
5. Viewing of videos of current, articulate pastors, who share different ideas on
Christian theology
And these are just some of the things we talk and learn about in Sunday School. Come join us

anyway. If a meeting becomes necessary, we will schedule it following a Sunday
morning church service.

Ebenezer United Church Of Christ
Approved Consistory Meeting Minutes
November 17, 2015
Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order by President, Ed Maurer at 7:00 PM
Opening Devotions and Prayer: Pam Delligatti
Attendees: Scott Becker, Chris Rex, Ed Maurer, AnnaLou Fritzinger, Nia Fratrik, Pam Delligatti, Bambi Snyder, Josh Serfass, Kevin Geist
Absent: Susan Bentley, Robert Oxford
Guests: Ken Kistler
Approval of Minutes: The minutes from October 27, 2015 were accepted as written with a motion from Scott Becker and a second from Josh Serfass.
Treasurer’s Report: No report available for meeting.
Old Business:
Preschool: Breakfast with Santa, card shower for vita and food pantry. They have 2 students returning to preschool this year. Preschool asking if maybe next year they can do a program in the morning and the afternoon. Thinking program would have enough students to provide morning and afternoon service. Debbie would then be considered a full time employee and what benefits would need to be provided. There would need to be someone in the office all day for phone calls and leaving people in and out of building. Thoughts were to get cameras instead of having people in office but then still no one in office to answer phones. Ken is checking into the process of being in all day for teaching.
Candy Sale: questioning if Richard is doing candy sales if not should preschool do it for proceeds for preschool?
Property: # of us worried about the painting in the church. Wondering if this is professional doing the painting worried about the mural being done. Was told the mural isn't being touch it's the cracks in the walls being patched up and repainted. This is being done by volunteer except for the expense of supplies.
Budget: 3% raise, Linda, Tammy, treasure, music: Pastor Kevin asking for reimbursement on mileage instead of a % raise. He hasn't submitted mileage in many years would prefer mileage stipend since it would be non-taxable. We figured out that it would be about $1500.00 for mileage stipend for Pastor Kevin. We put a vote in for stipend for PK and the vote was not agreed with the whole consistory panel. Ed will write letter on budget.
Miscellaneous: We talked about having a jr. consistory member to attend the meeting and have their opinion about things but not be able to vote.
Do we want the consistory to visit the sick? New business: Pool put in by the renters which will increase the insurance. Not sure if there was a permit to put the pool up. Will need to check with the township. Come to an agreement that the pool should come down since this isn't a permanent residency for them and a huge liability. Stewardship: Welcome wagon: Baskets full of goodies, map of the area etc for people who have moved into the area. Baptism: Jan drafted a letter to invite families to come back every three months after a baptism to keep families coming to the church. And stay active within our church. Consistory members to join December 13, 2015 Christmas worship. Consistory members will be doing a song during the worship service Please let Pam Delligatti know if you will be attending the service. There are several Christian Ed members on consistory talked at the Christian Ed meeting they need extra rooms for during Sunday school services. Classes are getting bigger every year and we are running out of rooms. We need to clean out the double room downstairs. Need some volunteers to clean out rooms. We have a lot of extra items that we are not using that we can keep on storing in different rooms of the church we need to clean house and get rid of some of the stuff that we are not using. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 PM Bambi Snyder
