CONTROL F(x) Programming Software

Power and Flexibility

Create custom control programs for electrohydrau-lic components with Eaton CONTROL F(x)™. Designed around open standards and based on the IEC-61131-3 programming standard, Eaton CONTROL F(x)™ is a Windows-based tool that lets you develop scalable electrohydraulic systems. Standard function blocks can be used to combine any electrohydraulic components, while an additional set of pre-defined logic blocks specific to Eaton® hydraulic com-ponents enable even more rapid, reliable development.

Eaton CONTROL F(x) provides six graphical and textual programming languages for logic devel-opment. It even includes tools to help you debug and monitor the programs you create.

Tools for Rapid Development

Native code generators and intelligent algorithms let you quickly compile large projects with thousands of global variables and hundreds of components.

Eaton CONTROL F(x) offers development capabilities such as a robust set of data types, offline simula-tion, and powerful online functions like breakpoints, single stepping, power flow, sampling trace and online change.

Autodeclare and autoformat functions, plus context-sensitive input assistance, simplify use of the appli-cation. All functions are accessible by use of the keyboard or mouse point-and-click. The software has low minimum system requirements, letting you run it efficiently on almost any computer.

Eaton EFX electronic con-trollers and IO modules provide a full range of elec-tronic control solutions. With an array of controller options and IO modules, an EFX system can be created to address any application need. All EFX products are IP67 rated and are built for the harsh mobile and indus-trial application environment. The EFX line is programmed and configured using the intuitive CONTROL F(x) pro-gramming software.

Applications: Excavators, forestry, telehandlers, utility vehicles, cranes, ag machinery, paving, and other specialty machines.

Specifications: 4 different EFX controllers and 3 IO expansion modules provide analog, digital, and frequency inputs as well as digital, PWM, and current-controlled outputs. Each EFX controller has both CANopen and J1939 interfaces.

The SFX high performance controllers are designed to address applications where control loop times are critical. Whether it’s a precise closed-loop control or a safety-critical applica-tion, the SFX controllers are built to address the demands of complex appli-cations.

The SFX controllers are built for the harsh mobile and industrial application environ-ment and is programmed and configured using the intuitive CONTROL F(x) pro-gramming software.

Applications: Excavators, forestry, telehandlers, utility vehicles, cranes, ag machinery, paving, and other specialty machines.

Specifications: The SFX controllers have multiple I/O for analog, digital, and frequency inputs, and digital, PWM, and analog outputs. They also contain a 32 bit processor, a CAN interface and the SFX 2000 has a Time-Triggered Protocol con-troller for SIL3 safety-critical applications.

Eaton’s VFX controllers provide an operator interface solution for electro-hydraulic systems. The VFX 1000 con-troller is used for dedicated display control, while the VFX 2000 also provides digital IO for additional controls. The VFX control-lers are built for the harsh mobile and industrial applica-tion environment and are programmed and configured using the intuitive CONTROL F(x) programming software.

There are two LCD display options available for use in conjunction with the VFX controllers.

Applications: Excavators, forestry, telehandlers, utility vehicles, cranes, ag machinery, paving, and other specialty machines.

Specifications: VFX 1000 & 2000 are used for elec-tronic display control and networked via CAN into electro-hydraulic systems. The VFX 2000 provides an additional 50 digital IO. Two LCD displays, 6.5 in. and 10.4 in. are used in conjunc-tion with either of the VFX controllers for a complete operator interface solution.
