Together with three other employers, you will give humanities and social science students the chance to get to know your company in a casual and unusual setting and thus learn more about their career prospects within your firm. In the first part of the event, you will give students an insight into your company’s corporate culture. Afterwards, the students will hear about the different job profiles within your field. A playful lunch date, where students and employers can exchange and network, completes the event. Frame and timing "Eat, Play, Meet" starts at 12:15 pm and lasts until 13:50pm. The event is divided into the three parts mentioned above: the first is a Culture Pitch, followed by the Behind the Scenes job profile format before closing with a Lunch Date. 12:15–12:30 Uhr Culture Pitch The UZH Career Services welcome the participants and explain the process and rules of this event. After this short introduction, the four employers each have a 3 minutes slot to present their corporate culture in a creative way. There are no limits to your imagination and you are allowed to use all methods/tools except PowerPoint slides! 12:30–13:10 Uhr Behind the Scenes Each company sends one representative with a background similar to the target group to address the students. These employees have a time slot of 8 minutes to tell about their careers so far and their current positions, thus inspiring students with (new) career prospects. 13:10–13:50 Uhr Lunch Date The lunch takes place at a buffet and at bar tables. During this part of the event, the employers are present with two representatives. The company representative who presented the Behind the Scenes part is standing by the buffet, while the second, HR representative, is standing at a bar table. At the buffet, an open exchange takes place between the speaker of Behind the Scenes and the students. At the bar tables, HR managers carry out informal speed dates with the students. In these speed dates, students who can also gather at a table in pairs of two and the HR managers have cards with unconventional icebreaker questions as well as ordinary interview questions. These are alternately turned over and answered by the HR representatives and the students. Every 5 minutes, a signal sounds and the students rotate to the next bar table. After the speed dating round, the HR representatives and students can informally network for approx. 20 minutes.
