In this release speed and robustness are improved. The program consume a lot of computer capacity, please tune PC

power plan to High Performance. Please try the examples in the package to understand how the

program work

Introduction

EasyAXE is used to ease health check and trace on AXE The analysis result will be showed in graphics or text, to

provide an overview to user. It supports real time mode working together with WinFiol It supports the latest technology, e.g. AXE810, EVO and

NWI etc It’s not verified on old technology switch, e.g. BYB501

etc.

Functionality

EasyAXE supports: Real time mode and offline mode General info check A interface check Abis interface check GPRS check CP/RP event check NWI check Statistics Check WinFiol script execution Alog Check Signal flow Check Variable decoding Combine and split file

Real time mode

offline modevs

Real time mode

EasyAXE can work together with WinFiol. Both EasyAXE and WinFiol must run as administrator

Right click the icon and select Run as administrator in the context menu At least one channel is active in WinFiol.

In EasyAXE, open menu WinFiolConnect

Real time mode Go to menu Script, select relevant script/trace

To save the output, go to menu FileSave Source As

Offline mode

Go to menu Script, select relevant script/trace, copy and run it in WinFiol manually, save the log.

Go to menu FileOpen Source, open the log to analyze

Offline mode

An alternative is to copy and paste the log to tab Source, then press button Process.

Process the text in tab source

General info check

General info

General info can be get from health check script User can generate the log by himself/herself also It contains:

RP, EM info Group switch (GS890) AXEPARS BSC properties Alarm SAE Correction MISSRA info

Em&rp info EM&RP info is showed in tab RpGraphics, problem will be highlighted.

Group switch (gs890) GS info is showed in tab GdGraphics, problem will be highlighted.

Axepars It’s showed in Tab AxePars, if both pre-check&post-check are done,

A interface check

A interface

A interface info can be get from A interface script or health check script.

The result will be showed in different tabs: C7Graphics SigTranGraphics EventReport Analysis

C7 info

Used for traditional C7. It’s showed in tab C7Grpahics, problem will be highlighted in red

Sigtran info Use for sigTran. It’s showed in tab SigTranGraphics, problem will be highlighted.

Event report Mainly for C7 but not limit to C7 It’s showed in tab EventReport

others RMCC state printout, it gives information about call status, e.g. how

many calls are ongoing, how many is setting up etc. Abnormal can be found in many cases, e.g. in the case below, many

call are hang in SDCCH due to abnormal in A interface

others

First A interface message trace. It give information about the A interface connection setup rate.

The Abnormal will be detected if CR (connection request) is much higher than CC (connection confirm), e.g. A interface congestion

Abis interface check

Abis interface

Abis interface info can be get from Abis interface script or health check script.

The result will be show in different tabs: AbisGraphics AbisIpGraphics Analysis

Traditional abis info Use for traditional abis configuration It’s showed in tab AbisGraphics, problem will be highlighted in red

Abis opt/ip info Use for Abis over IP or Abis optimization It’s showed in tab AbisIpGraphics, problem is highlighted in red.

Sort by TRH or PGW

GPRS check

GPRS INFO

GPRS info can be get from GPRS script. GBIP info is showed in tab GbIpGraphics. GB over FR is not analyzed in this version (due to lack of log). Quite some GPRS scripts are provided, most of them are in RP. This function is subject to change, any suggestion is welcome.

gbip

GBIP info is showed in tab GbIpGraphics, problem will be highlighted.

Cp&rp event check

cp&rp event

CP&RP event info can be found from CP RP event script or health check script.

Or user can generate the script manually. The result will be showed in different tabs:

CpEvent RpEvent RestartInfo

Cp event CP event is showed in tab CpEvent

Rp event RP event is showed in tab RpEvent

Restart info

Restart info is showed in tab RestartInfo

nwi check

Nwi info

NWI info can be get from NWI script. Real time mode is not supported. The script can not be transmitted

to WinFiol in real time mode, user has to fetch it and input in WinFiol (or secureCRT etc) manually.

NWI info will be showed in tab NWI/LS tab. Right click in the tab will trigger magnifier function. It’s not verified in Lan Switch yet due to lack of logs.

STS/KPI

STS/KPI

Statistics can be generated by script or manually, script is recommended.

Two format are supported (-z SCREEN/LF) for time being.

Statistics info is showed in tab STS/KPI, and output to Excel for further process.

Two modes are available: STS: object type oriented KPI: KPI oriented

STS

Object type oriented. Approach to generate statistics:

Prepare user formula if necessary, all the counters in the formula must belong to same object type.

Open Statistics Dialog, select object type to collect Statistics will be analyzed and showed in data grid. For further analysis, the result can be exported to Excel

Prepare user formula User formula should be set in parameter.log. It’s not a must but it can help

user to have an overview of system. E.g. call drop rate etc. All the counters in the formula must belong to same object type User can modify, add or remove the formula. Here is an example:

Statistics dialog

Go to menu ScriptStatistics Check Select Begin Time/Stop Time/Period/Object Type, e.g. select

CLSDCCH and CELTCHx

Statistics output Here is an example of CLSDCCH It can be exported to Excel for further process

Choose object type Export to Excel

kpi

KPI oriented. Approach to generate KPI:

Prepare KPI formula, counters in the formula are not limited to one object type.

Open KPI Check Dialog, select KPI(s) to collect Result will be analyzed and showed in data grid. For further analysis, the result can be exported to Excel

Prepare KPI KPI should be set in parameter.log. Counters in the formula are not limited to one object type User can modify, add or remove the formula. Here is an example:

Quite some common scripts have been integrated. When it’s clicked during real time mode, it will transmit to WinFiol

automatically. When it’s clicked during offline mode, it will show up in a dialog box,

user should copy and paste to WinFiol manually and execute it.

WINFIOL SCRIPT

The script is stored in folder \Script, user can modify the script manually.

Script menu can be modified as well. It’s configured in file UserDefineMenu.cfg. It’s written in Jason format. User can modify, add or remove script from menu as he/she wish.

It can filter out all the commands and alarm, and show in list box. Go to menu FileOpenOpen Transaction Log

Alog filter

Here is a snapshot, commands/alarm header are listed on left side, and relevant printout/alarms are showed on the right side.

Signal flow check

Open Signal file

Two kinds of file are accepted, one is the trace log, another is restart data.

Three filters can be set: FID, function block or signal name It’s useful for data analysis. Go to menu FileOpenOpen Signal Log

Open signal file

An alternative is to copy and paste signal info to tab Source and press button Process Signal

Process signal info in tab Source

Signal flow filter Set the filters on the left side, and click button Refresh, the result will

Split file Split file by the command, it’s useful when SWR or restart data are

collected in one file and need to be split. Go to FileSplit File, select the file to be split, split files will be

stored in the same directory of the file.

misc

directories

Script: stores all the scripts used in the program, you can added new scripts, and modify UserDefineMenu.cfg accordingly.

Reference: store CP/RP events explanation etc, and axe parameters, BSC properties etc for each release. It will be used during comparison, e.g. correction comparison between site log and reference log.

Resource: store pictures used in the programs Log: store temporary logs, e.g. debug, fault etc, pre-check logs.

User are not suggested to store any site logs here. Example: store typical examples, user can play around it and get
