KING!It is a lot of fun!

My favourite sports are running and playing games with friends. I like to play King becauseitisfun.ThethingIlikeaboutKingisthatyouneedtorun, jumpandshoota lot. To “Alihoop” you need to shoot out of the hoop. You also need to catch the ball before it goes in and hits the ground.

Players: Unlimited

Age: Upper primary

What you need: Basketball court, one basketball ring, and a basketball.

To win you need to shoot the ball in without the other player “Alihooping” it or the ballhittinganobject.Thisisotherwiseknownas“Intoe”.

In actual basketball if you shoot inside the yellow semi-circle you get one point. On the yellow semi-circle, two points and on the white semi-circle, three points. There are no “Alihoops”. To win you need to have the most points at the end of the game. There are no in toes either. It is my favourite sport ever.

TennisTennis is fun and can be played all over the world!

Players: 2

Age: Lower primary and Upper primary

What you need: Tennis court, a ball, a racquet, net, scoreboard, umpire, singles and pairs.

I love tennis. My Mum played tennis when she was a teenager and has taught me a couple of pointers. Mum started playing when she was 14 years old and stopped when she was 15 years old. I would say she has 20 trophies in the shed.

At school, we were learning how to play bat tennis. The rules are simple. One of the rules iswhenyouserveyouhavetostandbehindthebaseline.Itkeepsyouhealthyandfit.

I love to watch tennis on television. You have to hit the ball with a tennis racquet over the net without hitting it. I would love to be in a tennis club but I can’t as I am too busy. I have a tennis racquet at home in which I love to get a tennis ball and hit it for my dogs to fetch. They go and fetch it more to play.
