The Five Year Old The Three Year Old Rule 1: Be Kind Rule 1: Give Lots of Hugs Rule 2: No Fighting Rule 3: Be Respectful Rule 4: Be Loving Final Rule: Everybody be Happy When the journey may be challenging, its necessary to remember the House Rules. Serv- ing our Lord, calls for us to live out the fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self- control. Against such things there is no law.The mouths of youth bring forth wisdom. Yes, they remind me that we are to eat at the table, to share, to say you are sorry, that Jesus Loves Me, that Sunday is the day we go to church. Their hugs and House Rules are reflec- tive of the grace of God. The grace that is ever present. The grace that abounds when there is violence, death, heartache, death, grief, joy and pain. The House Rules! God Rules. Our Creator, is the head of the house, crafts the rules, forgives those who stray from the rules and has the compass of the Holy Spirit to guide us back to the House. This is Thankful Thursday, so this is a note of encouragement to live by the House Rules. “Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.(Psalm 100:2) We enter the Lords House on Sunday to worship and every single day we go into the world to serve the Lord living the House Rules. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.(Mark 12:30) Thought for the day: Give a Hug, be happy and live out the House Rules.
