Mr Murphy talked about how every student, and every voice is important to hear in our mathematics classrooms. He showed how our teachers purposefully select teaching strategies so that all students can contribute, build confidence in themselves and learn in the classroom. Some parents asked for more information about the content covered each year in mathematics, so that they could help their child/ren at home. The school executive will consider the best way to provide this information to parents.

In the meantime, here is a link to the curriculum documents from the NSW Education Standards Authority with detail of the content for every stage. Please remember that the teacher makes professional decisions about what content to cover, when to cover it and for how long, in response to the needs of students and in collaboration with their teaching colleagues.
