The candles will be lighted in Calvary Lutheran Church for their Christmas Eve services at 11:00 o’clock. Ever new, but the same old story of the first Christmas Eve will be related by Rev. John W. Grohne under the sermon theme “Glory to God”. Carols and special choir music will add to the beauty of the service. The church is on Lockwood at Euclid aves.

Because of the efforts of many community - minded groups, patients, visitors and staff of Euclid- Glenville Hospital will be cheered during the holiday season. On December 19th the Women’s Junior and Senior Boards decorated the front entrance, main lobby, lounges and nurses’ stations on each floor with evergreen arrangements, Christmas trees and poin- setta plants. They arranged for a small tree to be placed on a cart so it can be wheeled from room to room for youngsters hospitalized in the pediatrics ward.
The Glenville Nurses* Alumnae decorated the nurses’ home and provided a tree. The group is planning to have table arrangements in the hospital cafeteria on Christmas eve. Helping the alumnae make tray covers for patients’ Christmas eve dinner were the Y-Teen girls of Euclid-Central and Girl Scout Troop No. 16 er’s Church.
Under the direction Leonard J. Holzheimer, Girl Scout troops of Holy Cross Church have made enough favors and mats to brighten patients’ trays for all three meals on Christmas day. Mrs. Loren Bullard, chairman of the hospital decorating committee, personally made three-hundred and fifty corsages to be presented Uf women employees at the hospital Christmas party tomorrow. The large tree in the hospital lobby was a gift of Dr. and Mrs. Theodore P. Herrick and Dr. and Mrs. Harvey Janke brought all the evergreens and

On Christmas morning a special edition of the hospital bulletin “The Tongue Blade” with articles for employees and patients will be distributed. Following the schedule which began last Saturday, there will be caroling twice during the day. During meal-time Christmas music, which has been recorded on tape by some of the singers who came to the hospital to carol, will be played over the public address system.
Groups participating in the caroling program are: the Pilgrim Fellowship of the Collinwood Congregational Church, choirs from the Euclid Lutheran Church, the Master’s EUB Church, and the Euclid Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Euclid Rainbow Girls, the Collinwood Hi-Y Algonquins and the Collinwood Girls’ Cabinet.
Working on the hospital decorations which began during World War II as a junior board project suggested by Mrs. Joseph A. Crowley, were Mrs. Bullard and he r co-chairman, Mrs. Herbert Janke, who were in charge of the first floor and lobby. Mrs. Orville Lemley created the front entrance designs.
Other floor chairman were Mrs. Jerry Gleitz, third; Mrs. Ralph Madden and Mrs. Clarence Miller, fifth; Mrs. William O’Connell and Mrs. Edward Brauer, sixth; and Mrs. Ronald Davies, basement. They were assisted by fellow junior board members Mrs. David Clark, Mrs. Ralph Ricksecker, Mrs. John Vickers, Mrs. Theodore P. Perrick, Mrs. Howard Abrams, Mrs. George Reazer, and Mrs. Donald Hodgson. Senior board members Mrs. M. G. Wenning, Mrs. A. Goodrich, and Mrs. E Reiser directed the decorating of the fourth floor
