ABOUT THE YOUTH SPORT TRUSTThe Youth Sport Trust is an
Independent UK Children’s Charity dedicated to creating a future
where every child enjoys the life changing benefits that come from play and sport. We want to ensure
that every child – regardless of age, gender, background or ability
– has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle and has access to high quality PE
and school sport. We passionately believe this is crucial to tackling some of the biggest challenges
facing todays generation of children and young people.
In 2016-17639,668 young people were given direct opportunities to participate
in high quality PE and sport.
£13.7 million was raised to help improve young lives through sport.
ABOUT PJ MASKS
PJ Masks is a show about heroism and empowerment, only the
superheroes are children!
By day, six year-olds Connor, Amaya and Greg go to school
like everyone else. But as night falls they put on their pyjamas
and activate their animal amulets to magically transform into
superheroes – Catboy, Owlette and Gekko and become the PJ Masks!
Catboy, Owlette and Gekko can tackle any situation togetherand
embark on action packed adventures, solving mysteries and
mayhem across the city.
Through engaging storylines and immersive activities PJ Masks is designed t help children aged
two to five get to grips with their own “superpowers” in order
develop meaningful relationships, be ready to learn and navigate
day-to-day challenges.

Did you know that poverty affects one in four children in the UK today and about 67% of the UK’s poor children are from working families, where time and money restricts participation in activity and perpetuates the problem?YST and Entertainment One are committed to supporting young people and their families in the most deprived areas of the country to benefit from playing together. With your help we aim to raise £15,000 from our charity partnership.
WITH YOUR HELP WE CAN REACH... • 3 centres• 60 staff/volunteers• 100 low income families (c.200+ children)
This will enable us to develop and test a model that could then be replicated and scaled up if and when additional funding is secured.
Provide community centres with resources (for centre-based activity and parental activity at home): resources (packs of activity cards, handbooks and equipment packages for each facility), training for centre staff delivering activity sessions. In addition to this each centre will receive c.30 family activity packs to encourage and promote participation at home, enabling innovative approaches to the creation of home loan schemes to be established.
More pathways to be put into place locally to support young people to participate in and benefit from family activity, utilising the Healthy Movers programme and the inspiration of PJ Masks.
