Topics include: Building effective teams; sharing information for organizational success; motivation through effective management; six secrets to effective negotiation; and maximizing income and shareholder value.

Advanced Tax Credit Issues

You’ve taken Tax Credits 101. Now you want to build on that and better understand what all the lawyers and accountants are focusing on as emerging issues and trends. Tax reform has produced its own set of issues and the tax credit program itself continues to evolve. Practitioners will discuss how people are dealing with changes that may affect existing deals as well as pending deals.

Relationship Counseling

Development and Asset Management don’t always see eye-to-eye. Dr. Debbie Phillips will facilitate this playful ‘counseling session’ that will marry together representatives from the Development and Asset Management perspectives, and explore their different approaches and thinking around deal underwriting and operational issues.

NASLEF members certainly haven’t abandoned their tax credit syndication roots but they are expanding their offerings and diversifying. This evolution has come as opportunities have presented themselves and it has come out of necessity. Oftentimes these new ventures are measured by the positive social or environmental impact that these initiatives produce. This discussion will be led by NASLEF organizations that have been particularly proactive in broadening their offerings.
