Learning Progressions Booklet and the Complete Assessment Binder

The Early Learning Assessment - Complete Assessment Binder with the Full 32-Learning Progressions is available in print. In addition to the learning progressions, these books include sample observations of students for each performance level. If you or your teachers struggled with identifying a performance level with only the descriptors (as in the book of the required ten learning progressions), these sample observations may be very helpful to you.

The complete assessment binder also includes the Teacher Guide which explains more about the assessment and how to use it. Additionally, some sample reporting forms are included. Both the Teacher Guide and the sample reporting forms are available online on the Early Learning Assessment website.

Ordering Learning Progressions and the Complete Assessment Binder

Teachers will typically utilize the smaller, required ten learning progressions booklet, however the larger complete assessment binder is a good resource to have for teachers when scoring observations. Additional copies of either document may be ordered from the JFS Online Order System at http://www.odjfs.state.oh.us/forms/inter.asp.

Select the form number or form name option and enter the following:

and click SEARCH

3 Click Order and enter all information for New Customer Request and click Send Request

4 After you receive your Customer ID - enter your ID and Email and click Login to order

5 Select the Quantity next to the requested item and click Submit.

All copies of the assessment are considered secure documents and should be kept in a secure, but central location. Teachers must complete training before using the Early Learning Assessment. Register for the Early Learning Assessment trainings through the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR) at www.registry.occrra.org.
