Set up the Girl Scout’s Profile

At the end of Step 2 you will have the option to add a Nickname for your Girl Scout. If you enter a nickname, this is the name that will be used in her emails and she can choose her first name or nickname for her patches. Adding a nickname is optional. Staff cannot edit the girl’s First Name, so if it is incorrectly spelled, use Nickname to enter the correct spelling.

On the next page, in Step 1 you will type in your troop number.

As you begin typing it in, a dropdown box will appear with a list of suggested troop numbers.

Choose the correct troop number from the dropdown box.

If you cannot find your troop number, skip to the next page.

In Step 2, you will type in your Girl Scout’s Last Name and click on the Search button.

A pop-up box will list all girls in the troop with similar last names. If you do not see a pop-up box, make sure that your internet browser allows pop-ups. HOW TO ALLOW POP-UPS

If you see your Girl Scout’s name in the pop-up box, click the circle by her name and then click on the Choose button.

If you do not see her name listed, click the circle by “I don’t see my name. Create a new account.” Click on the Choose button.

Page 5: Eaˆn Rewaˆd˝ Foˇ Youˆ Paˆticipation

This page contains directions if you could not find your troop number in Step 1 or your Girl Scout’s name in Step 2. If you have completed Steps 1 and 2, please move on to Step 3.

If you don’t know your troop number, or you don’t see it in the dropdown box after typing it in, then click the box just underneath that says “I don’t know/see my Troop or Group #”

In Step 2 you will be asked to type in your Girl Scout’s First Name, Last Name, and optional Nickname. You can now move on to Step 3.

Council staff will review your account and make certain your Girl Scout is assigned to the correct troop.

If you know your troop number, but when you searched by your Girl Scout’s Last Name in Step 2 you chose “I don’t see my name. Create a new account.”, you will be asked to type in your Girl Scout’s First Name, Last Name, and optional nickname to complete Step 2. You can now move on to Step 3.

Page 6: Eaˆn Rewaˆd˝ Foˇ Youˆ Paˆticipation

In Step 3, your Girl Scout can set her goals. When a customer views her storefront, the

customer will see her goals listed at the top of the page. As she chooses what being a Girl

Scout means to her and types out her troop plan for funds earned from the program, she will

see the paragraph at the very bottom update with her words.

Here is an example of what her intro paragraph looks like after filling in all three of her goals:

When you click the pink button at the bottom for Next, a pop-up box will ask you to verify that

your Girl Scout’s name and Troop number are correct before you click the button to Proceed.

You do have the option to Go Back and correct any errors.

Page 7: Eaˆn Rewaˆd˝ Foˇ Youˆ Paˆticipation

Create your Avatar You now get to make your Avatar! On the right-hand side, girls can click the forward or back

arrow next to each category to view all the choices to make the avatar look just like her! Her

avatar image will update as she cycles through all the options. Once she is done with the Head

section, she can click on Body and Clothing sections to open them up for more options.

Page 8: Eaˆn Rewaˆd˝ Foˇ Youˆ Paˆticipation

In Steps 2 and 3 your girl has the option to record and review a short personal message in her

voice. Click on the pink “audio guide” link on the website for more guidance and an example

script. You can click the Record Now button to record using your computer or smartphone’s

internal microphone (no additional equipment required).

Customers will have the option to click on the girl’s avatar and will see the avatar’s mouth

move while speaking in the girl’s voice! If the girl does not record her voice, the avatar will still

speak using a pre-recorded voice.

At the bottom of the page you will see the options to return to the Previous page, Skip this

Step, or move on with Next.

If you Skip this Step, the girl will see the option on her Dashboard to return to the Avatar

editor at any time to change her avatar. She also can record and add her voice to her avatar at

any time.

Whenever the girl completes her first Avatar, she will earn a virtual reward! Virtual rewards are just a fun way to recognize her progress and are displayed in her Avatar’s Room. She can see both her virtual and real rewards from her Dashboard.

Design your Personalized Storefront

In this step your Girl Scout can choose to upload a selfie. By default, her Avatar’s selfie will

display. Customers are more likely to purchase if the Girl Scout has her own selfie on her

storefront. Girls will also be able to decorate their selfie with stickers.

Girls can also upload a video. If you need more guidance, click on the instructions link in the

yellow box when on the website.

On the right-hand side, the girl will see a preview of what her Avatar patch will look like if she

meets the sales goals.

Promote Your Campaign

On the next page, you can add email addresses to tell your family and friends how to buy from

your store. If you have an email account with Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, or Aol, you can click on

their icons to import and edit contacts. You also can add email addresses one by one.

Don’t forget, if you enter at least 15 emails, your girl will earn the Trust Your Strengths patch,

and meet 1 of the qualifications for the Avatar patch, and the Product Champion club! When

you are ready, click the button to Launch Your Campaign.

Page 11: Eaˆn Rewaˆd˝ Foˇ Youˆ Paˆticipation

After you launch your campaign, a pop-

up window will give you the option to

share your store links on Facebook and

Twitter. You will have two links, one for

her Nut & Candy Store and one for her

Magazine Store, so don’t forget to post

both! Also please be mindful to only

posts links on private, restricted social

media pages and groups. Posting in

public groups or in sales groups is not

allowed.

After you close the social media box, your girl will make decisions about how she wants her

avatar patch to look if she earns it. This year she has a choice between a Safari Stand or a Hot

Air Balloon background and she can wear her uniform or a safari outfit. As she makes choices,

the patch image will update to show her what it would look like. She also can choose how her

name appears on the patch. You will need to type in an address, because the patch will be

sent into production to be mailed directly to you as soon as the girl meets the requirements!

Patches can take 2 -3 months to deliver.

Page 12: Eaˆn Rewaˆd˝ Foˇ Youˆ Paˆticipation

At the bottom of the avatar page, you will see a unique code. You can share this code with

friends and family to access your daughter’s storefronts.

There are several other links provided, so that you can browse through your Girl Scout’s stores

and make your first purchases! You also can print sales flyers or business cards to hand out to

friends and family (this is where your unique code will come in handy, to add to the flyers and

cards). And you can view your Dashboard, see your Avatar’s room, or add another Girl Scout

to the system.

All these links will also be available on your Dashboard, which is your homepage for the sale.

Now that you have completed registration, when you login you will go straight to the

Dashboard.

If you have questions about your Dashboard, how to find information, or any other questions

about the webstore, please contact M2 Customer Care at 800-372-8520 or

[email protected] They can answer any questions about the system, including

customer questions about orders!
