OUR MISSION The Eagles Media Center3 is a student run
media company at Galway High School. Three branches cover all
aspects of modern media,
including online news reporting, live broadcasting, and
publishing. The EMC3 strives
to maintain a professional atmosphere that allows students to
learn important media-
related skills while best serving our school and greater
community.

What is the size of Galway Jr/Sr School? The high school
represents grades 7-12, with 7th and 8th graders being considered
Junior High students
and grades 9 through 12 making up the senior high school. Each
class averages about 100 students, thus the entire Jr/Sr High
School population is about 600 students. Galway Central School as a
whole provides
for approximately 1200 students K-12.
How many hits does your website get? The Eagles Media Center
website averages several hundred hits per day,
many from Galway students.
Who watches GTV? Students in grades 7-12 watch GTV every morning
for their daily announcements. Text announcements loop throughout
the day on televisions located outside the
cafeteria and auditorium.

Who runs the Eagles Media Center? The Eagles Media Center is run
by the students of Galway Jr/Sr High School. With support from
our
knowledgeable advisors, EMC3 members are capable of creating
revolutionary new media products and avenues that are implemented
in the Galway school district. Members can get involved with any
branch of
the media center, which allows each student to focus on his or
her own specific media goals. The EMC3 also promotes collaboration
between branches. This cross communication allows for some
really
interesting new ideas to come to life.
How can I get involved with EMC3? Any Galway student can become
an active member of the Eagles Media Center. Simply contact a
current member and/or advisor to get started on your first
project! Community members are welcome to support our group as
well. This can be done by contributing to current publishing
projects, advertising on any of our three branches, or simply
reading our website and leaving your opinion in the comments
section!

What type of news can I find on the EMC website? The Eagles
Media Center website has a variety of news options to choose from.
Articles range in foci and cover topics of local, national, and
international importance. In addition, the EMC has sections
specifically designed to focus on local news, student life, music
and other forms of entertainment,
and the happenings in the GHS business department.
Who will see my advertisements? The Eagles Media Center website
can be accessed around the globe, however most of our viewers come
from the Galway area. Galway Jr/Sr High School students are our
most frequent site visitors, but parents, teachers, and other
community members have been known to check our site regularly. If
you are looking to advertise on GTV, you can expect your ads to be
targeted specifically towards the student body, particularly those
in grades 7-12. Faculty and staff are also likely to view these
advertisements. Ads in the Eagle Eye: A Season’s Review can be
distributed throughout the Galway community. Our most common
subscribers are Galway High School athletes and their families.
