EaglE’s Eyrie Issue No.1

RENAISSANCE- IT’S JUST THE BEGINNING ….!!!
Greetings to all the readers! This is a time of great change for the school. The school is going through a
renaissance ! We are going uphill and the peak seems near, but the path gets steeper and more difficult
with each step and we Nabhaites will keep going onward and upward.
As John F. Kennedy said, “Change is the law of life and those who look only to the past or present are
certain to miss the future.” The thing about change is that not many people seem to believe in it, they resist
it, it is human nature. From infrastructure of the school to the moral values, discipline, and the educational
policies, everything is going through an evolution.
The main aim to launch “Eagle’s Eyrie” is to make the students stay updated with the campus news, to
appreciate and recognize the achievements of the students and staff, to let the creativity among the
students blossom and of course, to add to the evolution of the school. This fortnightly is a result of the
effort of the senior students.
Young people will create the works of power. Publishing articles and drawings/caricatures would definitely
inspire others to do the same and help the newsletter grow. The “Eagle’s Eyrie” will provide a platform to
the students to discuss matters of importance and voice their opinion about recent happenings in the
school, which will help in improving the school in a long way. So, all the readers are invited to use this
newsletter and open up their minds and boost the school’s growth. We are open to any suggestions, the
staff and students might have.
As the saying goes, mind like a parachute works best when opened. This humble initiative is to set the
budding minds free, allowing them to roam free in the realm of imagination. Our team promises to try and
always be creative and imaginative.
It is for the first time in the history of the school that a newsletter of this kind is being published. We hope it
provides the students an exposure to how the schools are changing and evolving.
Our special thanks to the Headmaster, staff and students for their immense help in breathing life into these
pages.

WITHIN YOU…
The life began with a single cell and from that evolved life which is represented in the form many
organisms, plants and animals and the most important among them being ‘humans’ possessed with special
ability to understand the world. The man started to observe and understand his surroundings and the
world. The more he “tried” to understand, the more he understood and as a result was able to compile
unlimited amount of knowledge in the form of books. But the question is, where did this whole
understanding and knowledge come from? “OF COURSE ! FROM WITHIN THE MAN HIMSELF”.
The more he tried to tap out knowledge from his inner self, the more easily it started to flow out.
Therefore, it is clear that the vast ocean of knowledge lies within each one of us but the question is how
many of us realize this and finally be ready to explore ourselves.
Man has been able to collect so much of knowledge that has been compiled into unlimited (millions and
billions) number of books and due to this the today’s generation is simply spending all the time reading the
books and acquiring the knowledge collected by their ancestors rather than understanding their own
selves. They have simply been told and conditioned to read and acquire the information that can provide
them with degrees in order to get lucrative jobs. In other words, the schedule of their life has been made so
tight that they have no time to introspect which is essential in order to tap the ocean of knowledge within
you. They are simply devoid of the time to think. That is the reason that today only engineers and doctors
are born rather than intellectuals (like- Aristotle, Sigmund Freud etc.).
They simply read the material in the form of books etc. that the society wants them to read (the specified
syllabuses etc.) and presume the information given in those books to be completely true rather than
reading the information and analyzing what they have read. “BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN ALSO BE CORRECT
AND CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.”
Always have “me time” and introspect in order to have the ideas that can change the world………

Reviews for readers….
LEMONADE
Beyonce’s new album ‘lemonade’ which was released on 23rd April has rocked the billboard. Beyonce made history
as it was the first time that a female act chartered 12 or more songs on billboard top 100. Each song is a masterpiece
with no room for weak tracks, my favorite being the ‘pary you catch me’. The album talks about infidelity, probably
her troubled relationship with her husband jay z. Besides, it describes about the struggles of black women. A music
lover can live under a rock and still cannot ignore beyonce’s lemonade.

IN RUBARU WITH
Dr JAGPREET SINGH
THE HEADMASTER
Q.1 What are your expectations from this year’s prefectorial body?
A- I do hope that this year’s prefectorial body will set very high standards among the students. I want them to
improve the discipline and the campus language. I look forward to the fact that not only will they inculcate the habit
of speaking English but will also provide a better thinking platform to their juniors.
Q.2 Who is your favourite super hero?
A-Well I am a guy who is in love with marvels and my favourite superhero is surely ‘THE SUPERMAN’. This is because
he’s someone who has all the superpowers.
Q.3 What is the one thing that you cannot say no to?
A-(smiles) …….Hmmm. The only thing which I do all day long is sharing love. And I believe, I would be a perfect brand
ambassador for promoting and sharing love to root out all the hatred and jealousy.
Q.4 How are you always ready with so many stories in your pockets?
A-The credit goes to my WhatsApp friends and old students who flood my phone with all such anecdotes.
Q.5 You are so disciplined, have you always been like this or were you mischievous as a student?
A-To be very honest I was a brat of all. I was one of those naughty students who loved bunking lessons. One day
when I was in class 7th I bunked the school with my best friend to watch a matinee show. Unfortunately, my teacher
came to know about my absence in the class and both of us were called in the Principal’s office and what he said
transformed me completely.
Q.6 What are your expectations from this initiative of fortnightly student publication?
A-With this I expect the beginning of a new era. I hope that the publication will continue to flourish in the times to
come. The real power lies with the students who will not only bring a sea change but will also be the future decision
makers.

Penning down a Poet’s way…..
My tale of Boarding life !
Let me tell you all about our amazing boarding life,
Experience it once; you would say it is more than nice,
Waking up with your friends is a joyous time,
We are all together in our crime,
All day long we back each other up,
Covering for each other when trouble is up,
Late night talks are every day’s task,
Meaningless are they all, if you ask,
Rouser is at five but we never wake up,
Our own rouser is when time to go to school is almost
up,
Prep is the only time we study,
Watch us then we all look so nerdy,
Discussing the time-table in morning is a way,
In free periods what is to be done we say,
I will surely miss these days in my Hostel,
The tales built here are the best I could tell.
