1. Installation and Uninstallation

1.1 Installation

Step 1: Insert the USB port to USB port of PC, then the driver will appear in “My computer”

shown as the following picture. Choose “Open”.

Step 2: Open the file “Setup”

Step 3: Run “Setup.exe”

Step 4: Select language

Step 5: Setting the file router for saving installation files.

After installation finished, the modems and the USB port should appear in the computer hardware

management shown as the following picture.

1.2 Uninstallation

In order to avoid mistakes during uninstallation, it is recommended to use the computer program along with the modem. It could be uninstalled from “Start” or from the file router saving the installation file. Uninstallation from “Start” is shown as the picture following.

After uninstallation finished, USB port of the modem should disappeared accordingly from the

computer hardware management.

2. Main Interface

【Phonebook】:Phonebook in the UIM Card and the USB Modem. Press this button, the

message box for editing phonebook will appear.

【Message】:SMS records of sentbox, inbox, outbox and unread SMS. Press this button, the

message box for SMS record will appear.

【Call】:Button for dialing (Not available for the modem E190)

【Settings】:Button for setting

【Connect】:Button for Internet connecting

3. Internet

3.1 Internet Connecting

Press the button 【Connect】, the following message box will appear:

It will last for several seconds and will disappear when successfully connecting Internet.

3.2 Internet Disconnecting

Under the status of Internet connecting, press the button 【Disconnect】, Internet will disconnected

after 5 to 20 seconds and then the other functions are available.

The message box will disappear after disconnecting Internet.

4. SMS

4.1 Main Interface for SMS

Functions of the buttons in the main interface for SMS: 【New】:Edit New SMS

【Delete】:Delete SMS

【Reply】:Reply with SMS

【Forward】:Forward SMS

【Synchronize】:Synchronize SMS between PC of users and the USB modem

【View】:Read SMS

【Save】:Save SMS in the Inbox to the savedbox

4.2 Sending SMS

Press the button 【New】,the following message box will appear:

【Send】:Sending SMS

【Save】:Save the written SMS into the draftbox

【To】:Choose one or more receivers in the phonebook. Press this button, then the following

message box will appear:

5. Phonebook

5.1 Main Interface for Phonebook

Functions of the buttons in the main interface for Phonebook: 【New】:Add new contacts information

【Modify】:Modify information of the contacts

【Delete】:Delete contacts information in the phonebook

【Send SMS】:Send SMS to the contacts number chosen from the phonebook

【Synchronize】:Synchronize contacts information in the phonebook between PC of users and

the USB modem. Synchronization is needed when the phonebook is used for the first time.

【Move To】:Move the contacts information from UIM card to PC or vice versa

【Copy To】:Copy the contacts information from UIM card to PC or vice versa

5.2 Add New Contacts

UIM Card: Add new contacts to UIM card

Device Memory: Add new contacts to the modem

PC: Add new contacts to PC

5.3 Modify contacts

Choose one contact information from the phonebook，Press the button 【Modify】,then the following message box will appear:

5.4 Send Message to Contacts Chosen from the Phonebook

Choose one contact number from the phonebook, then press the button【Send SMS】, and

the following message box will appear. The receiver is the contact number which is chosen.

6. Setting

The labels in the main interface of Setting:

【General】:Select Language

【PIN Management】:PIN Management

【DUN Profile】:Dun Profile Setting

【Network Traffic】:Network flow setting

【SMS】:SMS setting

6.1 Select the label【General】

Select the label 【General】for language setting, shown as the following picture :

6.2 Select the label【PIN Management】

<1>Enable PIN

Choose the optional button【Enable】and put into the correct PIN, then press the button

【Apply】.The following message box will appear when enabling successfully.

After Enabling PIN successfully, it will appear the following message box when playing and

plugging the USB modem. Users are required to put into the PIN to unlock the modem.

<2>Change PIN

Under the status of enabling PIN, Users could change new PIN by putting into the old PIN

correctly and then put into the new PIN twice. Press the button【Apply】to enable the new PIN.

The following message box will appear when enabling successfully.

<3>Disable PIN

Choose the optional button【Disable】and put into the correct PIN, and then press the button

【Apply】. Then following message box will appear when disabling successfully.

After disabling successfully, it will be no warning of putting into PIN when plugging and playing

the USB modem.

6.3 Select the label【Dun Profile】

【New】:Add new DUN file

【Edit】:Edit Dun file; please note the DUN file embedded in the modem could not be edited.

【Delete】:Delete DUN file; please note the DUN file embedded in the modem could not be

deleted.

【Save】:Save new added DUN file or modified DUN file

【Undo】:Repeal renewing or editing

【Set as default】:Set the chosen DUN file as the defaulted one

6.4 Select the Label【Network Traffic】

【Set】:Set the beginning day of the month

【Reset Statistic】:Clean the previous statistic data

【Edit】:Edit flow warning. This button is valid when the optional button【Enable flow warning】

is chosen. Press the button, then the interface will change from picture 1 to picture 2. 【Data Limit】:Enable the data limit

【Time Limit】:Enable the time limit

【Data Limit value】:Data limit value

【Time Limit value】:Time limit Value

【Pre-warning(%)】:Point of pre-warning

【Enable sound prompt】:Enable sound prompt when warning

6.5 Select the label【SMS】

<1>Set the validity period for SMS saving. It is optional among “12 hours”, “24 hours”, “30 days”

and “Maximum”. “Maximum” is the defaulted.

<2>Setting of SMS prompts

a. Message box prompt of new SMS

If enabled, the following message box will appear when new SMS is coming.

b．Warning tone prompt of new SMS

If enabled, there will be warning tone when new SMS is coming.
