    What is DSS800?

    DSS800 is a powerul system or analyzing

    and reporting production, consolidating

    production reporting into one system. It

    consists o a data warehouse and report-

    ing portal.

    The system helps to improve mill per-

    ormance by providing the right industry

    standard perormance metrics or top-level

    analyses, combined with the complete

    transparency o the entire production pro-

    Typical use case in production

    The total efciency o one production line is lower

    than that o another.

    What are the reasons or this deviation?

    Time efciency is on the same level as other

    production lines, but material efciency is worse.

    One grade has produced more reject than other grades over the past

    ew days, reducing the over all material efciency.

    There is nothing wrong with the trim efciency

    but the amount o roll reject is high.

    Is there a common actor or roll reject?

    There is a clear increase in reject due to Dirt on the track. Most

    rolls originate rom a certain reel position.

    Corrective actions:

    The problem can be traced to a certain problem in the

    process, and corrective measures are taken.

    Were the corrective measures efcient?

    The trend in terms o signifcant quality measures has normalized

    and values have actually improved compared to the long-term trend.
