How to prepare a good European Project? How to prepare a good European Project?

Keep in mind ….Keep in mind ….

• Legal basis necessary: EU treaty/budget line/special call

•Subsidiarity principle! -> EU must have the mandate to act

• Always include EU2020 strategy („ EU Bible“)

•No money without calls (exceptions: Structural funds)

• Greece: Action plan 2011, 100 extra projects, simplified procedures

• Cofinancing between 50-85%, seldom (exception Greece 95%)

• Nearly all programmes relevant for local authorities and cities

•European dimension (also structural fund if -> 10% transnational)

•Sustainability, Innovation, Transfer, Networking, Best Practice

•No alibi partners („Cosmetic Partners“) – relevant Stakeholders

• make your project „green“: Bio products, green public transport ….

• Talk to relevant people & institutions about your project!
