WhileAM voice still is theprimarycommunicati-on between the planeandairtrafficcontrollers, theimportanceof being able to supply VDL2 radios willincrease as the technology becomesmorewidelyused.
The VDL2 is not future technology, it isoperational today. The number of air-craftequippedbyVDL2 isprogressivelyincreasing. The recent records from amonitoring ground station show a rapidincrease.
