Dear Member,

The capacity to weather economic downturn is as important today as it was in 1934 when the CreditUnion Qrst began and when our nation was in economic turmoil. In fact for 75 years, Georgia’s Own hasconsistently demonstrated its ability to navigate through changing economic and business conditions- -emerging resilient, adaptable and squarely focused on operating in the best interest of our members. This aptitude has, over time, allowed our organization to meet changing market forces, while creatingnew solutions to help our members succeed, and ultimately contributed to our reputation as one of theoldest, largest and most trusted Qnancial institutions in the state.

As we embark on the next 75 years, we not only celebrate the strength of the vision of our founders, butwe also aPrm our commitment to continue to build a legacy of service and responsibility. During theseeconomically challenging times, such a promise is especially powerful, as people have experiencedan increased reliance on tangible value and trusted solutions.

In 2009, our approach to providing these critical needs was basic and straight forward -- we simplycontinued to adhere to our core principles articulated in our brand tenets: We Stand for the Prosperityof our Members, We Stand for Unmatched Service, and We Stand for a Healthy Planet. By channeling ourdecisions through these important Qlters, Georgia’s Own Credit Union not only experienced recordgrowth in 2009, we more importantly demonstrated why we continue to be a trusted advisor and friendto the consumer.

Extraordinary Times . . . Extraordinary Growth

With a healthy capital position, expansive distribution channels and a corporate culture of excellence,Georgia’s Own Credit Union is known as a strong and valuable partner. As such, we were pleased towelcome both Retail Employees Credit Union and GPC Credit Association to the Georgia’s Own CreditUnion family in 2009. In addition to the expanded branch network enabled by these mergers, the CreditUnion enhanced its service span by opening a new, full service Douglasville facility. We also brokeground on a new state-of-the-art location in Grayson and continued to broaden our product/serviceline in 2009 to maximize convenience, security and value to our members. In addition to adding 49premier partners to our field of membership during the year, Georgia’s Own welcomed residents ofDouglas, Richmond and EPngham Counties to the Credit Union family. During the year, as a result of poor economicconditions, our federal regulator, NCUA, implemented the Corporate Stabilization Plan to ensure corporatecredit unions had the funds needed to manage through the economic recession and meet their regulatorycapital requirements. Corporate credit unions are wholesale Qnancial institutions that provide lendingand depository services to the country’s 7,800 retail credit unions, including Georgia’s Own, on abusiness-to-business basis. Because the ongoing health of corporate credit unions is important to theentire retail credit union system, credit unions were required to inject capital into the corporate system. While the write down of this signiQcant expense in 2009 caused declines in both capital and income, our Qnancial strength allowed us to absorb this unanticipated cost and moreover continued to fuel ourgrowth momentum. SpeciQcally, membership growth soared to an all time high of 148,748, up 23%from 2008. Likewise, outstanding loan balances rose to $777,570,743, up 9.9%, and assets climbedto $1,518,221,119 at yearend, up 22.3%. While this level of growth is indicative of a strong brand,it also yields direct beneQt to our membership since, as a not-for-proQt collaborative, the more people thattake advantage of credit union membership, the greater the beneQt.

The Credit Union also launched a bold new initiative for young people known as i[x]ga in 2009.This progressive program takes financial literacy seriously, delving not only into the crux of financial

illiteracy, but also honing the power of social media for an exponential impact. As a result of the scopeand purpose of this creative program, Georgia’s Own was honored to be named the oPcial partner ofJunior Achievement of Georgia and scored high proQle interviews for the i[x]ga magazine, including popsensation, Justin Bieber, baseball pro, Brian McCann and Atlanta Thrashers forward, Jim Slater.

Beyond our Qnancial strength, our enhanced infrastructure and the unsurpassed growth experienced in2009, Georgia’s Own remained true to its mission of helping others succeed. In fact, in a time when otherorganizations cut back on charitable giving, Georgia’s Own ramped up its philanthropic efforts, participating in numerous charitable events that benefited organizations such as United Way,the American Heart Association, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Brain Tumor Foundation forChildren, the National Veterans’ Wheelchair Games, and the Special Citizens of Atlanta. We alsostrengthened our commitment to the environment by using recycled paper and soy ink, by providingrecycle/shred bins in each of our branch locations and by oOering signiQcantly discounted rates for greenborrowing. In addition to awarding $15,000 in scholarship in 2009, our education initiatives such as theannual Home Buyers Expo and Credit Score Enhancement Seminars continued to help our membersnavigate through economic uncertainty. The Credit Union also provided ongoing consumer advocatemessages addressing topics such as title pawns, the truth behind 0% Qnancing, and responsible mortgagelending.

From $160 and eight members to $1.5 billion in assets and almost 150,000 members, Georgia’s Own isa 75 year success story by virtually every standard. So where does an organization go after 75 years ofundisputed achievement? The answer is simple – we go where our members need us to go. We respondin a reliable manner to the financial ebbs and flows natural to most families. We continue toinnovate and to lend in a time when others are not; we continue to invest in technology and inour people, and we never forget that at the end of the day, we are a value based business, here, quite simply, to serve you.

Georgia’s Own was founded during economically challenging times to improve the Qnancial wellbeingof our members. 75 years later, this mission is as relevant as ever. While we have seen numerous changessince our organization’s inception, rest assured, we will continue to put our 75 years of successfulexperience and integrity to work for you. Although, we are expecting another challenging year in 2010,we are well positioned to make the adjustments necessary to respond to the economic environmentand look forward to delivering real value to you and your family . . . for the next 75 years and beyond. Asalways, it is our distinct honor to serve you. We appreciate your business.

Sincerely,

Charlotte S. Ayers, President & CEO
