The company

PAC, based in St Sulpice sur Leze, near Toulouse in south west France,

was etablisched in 1987. The company sells its enclosures all over the

world under different trade marks. In the UK it is Algrave. However

unifying the brand to Aqua Telescopic for all areas is in progress.

Our manufacturing knowledge, our organization and the experience

acquired over more than 20 years allow us to manufacture retractable

and fixed swimming pool covers of the highest quality. We also

manufacture a large variety of enclosures (design, dimensions,

glazing, etc), All our enclosures are made to order and manufactured

to the customers exact requirements.


Human resources and design

PAC and its partners amount to more than 40 employees, amongst which are

several engineers, designers, technicians, supervisors, commercial assistants

and operators. The production site is more than 8,000 m² which permits

internal storage of finished enclosures awaiting delivery and installation.

We provide precise drawings and specifications with every project, which

enable the customer to understand the dimensions, shape, available space

and the enclosures location in the existing surroundings (i.e. pool, house, pool

house, garden, ...), as well as detailing the materials used in manufacturing.


Toughened safety glass, our speciality

The first enclosure installed by PAC in 1988 was with all side and end wall panels in Polymethacrylates (Altuglas). We used this type of glazing up until

1999.

To improve on this synthetic material, which would age, create more condensation, fade, distort and possibly crack due to humidity and heat, we have

now established a relationship with one of the leading European suppliers of glass for the construction industry, to develop a glazing specifically aimed to

the swimming pool cover environment.

Our ultimate choice has been to select Toughened Safety Glass, a glass that has a specific thermal treatment bringing it to a level of 5 to 6 times the

strength of any regular glass.

It is important to note that Toughened Safety Glass is commonly used in the building industry due to its strength as well as safety.

Toughened Safety Glass conforms with building construction rules i.e. in slippery places (swimming pools, bathrooms).

As well as single glazing, we offer double glazing, also in Toughened Safety glass for added insulation.


Complies to regulation standards

Our enclosures are in line with the French AFNOR Safety

Standard NF P90-309, relating to the protection of open in-

ground swimming pools, which are for domestic or

commercial use. The file reference is E021078/CQPE/10 by

LNE (French National Test Laboratory)…

We have researched extensively the strength and

resistance in conjunction to French standards, basing these

studies on calculations made with an independent

Engineering firm, specializing in proving the strength of

structures.

After research we are now able to guarantee

more strength resistance to wind, snow and fire than required for swimming pool enclosures; we

can provide strength calculations for snow and wind for building standards if required.


A wide range of profiles and

the process of Thermo Painting

The profiles we use to produce our swimming

pool enclosures are our own design and are

unique to our enclosures. Amongst other things,

this enables us to guarantee a much stronger

building than is required by the swimming pool

enclosure standards.

The feasibility of each profile integrated into our

swimming pool enclosures have been validated

by an independent engineering firm, taking into

account various factors such as size, surface

area covered, materials used..

Our swimming pool enclosure profiles are made

of the aluminum alloy 6060 state T6.

The thermo painting process consists in applying

a layer of polyester powder on a clean surface by

an electrostatic effect; this layer is 80µm thick.

The deposited powder layer is then baked in a

furnace at around 200°C, allowing its

polymerization.

The thermo painting process provides a large

range of colours (as per RAL standards), as well

as excellent corrosion resistance.

This process is certified to the Qualicoat (label

N°539) and Qualimarine (label N° QM01) labels.

The standard colour is White (RAL 9010).

Green (RAL 6005), Ivory (RAL 1015) and Brown

(RAL 8017) are usual optional colours. All other

RAL standard colours are available on request.


Weather conditions

Our wide range of profiles and assembly

methods allow us to deal with all adverse

weather conditions: snow, wind, heavy rains,….

For rainfall, our enclosure roofs have a slope of

7°; and for regions with extremely heavy rain,

the slope roof is 12,5°.

The enclosure sides, can be either with 7° or

1,5° or even be perfectly vertical.

We can guarantee wind resistance,

snow and fire resistance higher than what is requested by the French and

British standards for swimming pools ;

we can also guarantee snow and wind resistance in accordance with the

French and British standards for the building industry.

Enclosure opening methods

A patented guiding mechanism, unique to our enclosures, allows the enclosure to be opened and used in a variety of options. As well as the easy manual

opening without guiding rails fixed in the ground on all standard enclosure configurations; it can also be motorized.

The dimensions for our standard enclosures are such that each element can go inside of the next. With this, the surface covered by the enclosure can be

opened as the customer wishes,

either in moving some elements to one side and

some elements to the other side : this is what

we call central opening.

Enclosure totally closed, so that the

swimming pool is fully covered.

When you move all the modules to one side,

you get a full opening.

(the facade of the smallest module can be

tiltable, with concertina doors or garage door,

etc… This to enable the modules to be moved

even with a ladder or other obstacles in the

surroundings of the swimming pool enclosure).

Patented anchoring system linking the elements:

It allows our standard enclosures to be

opened easily and without the use of tools

and without any special optional extra to

unlink 2 elements so they can move as

indicated above to give the central

opening.

The space created by this high enclosure gives an open feel to your swimming pool. You will be surprised by the open feeling it provides. It is possible to add angles at the roof level if the enclosure width requires it, it will then be a 7 angle enclosure.

High 3 angle telescopic swimming pool enclosure with slightly sloping sides

Clean lines are a feature of this high 3 angle model. The feeling of open space inside the enclosure is really appreciable and its head room is excellent if the

pool surround space is limited.

Its shape is sharp and clean and it can be integrated into any kind of garden surroundings. The enclosure is open and transparent and allows in lots of light. Its

shape can be modified adding angles in the roof; this cover is then known as the Olympia Enclosure.

The manufacture of an arched swimming pool enclosure was stopped some time ago due to the disadvantage of having to use a synthetic material for the side

glazing but we wanted to enhance our range with an arch-shaped enclosure with toughened safety glass.

We can reduce the number of angles so we can have a 7 angle swimming pool enclosure.

Thanks to wider, stronger profiles, we can cover large areas up to 20 meters wide.

This building provides the best compromise of openness, clarity and the best use of available space. Its height progression enables you to reach a comfortable

area at one end of the swimming pool. It is possible to add angles on the roof if the enclosure width requires it, it will then be a 5 angle Olympia enclosure.

When you look at the enclosure from one end to the other end, sloping sides offer a divided yet open view on the swimming pool. The side door enables an

easy access to the pool steps of the pool. It is possible to add angles at the roof level if the enclosure width requires it, it will then be a 7 angle enclosure.

Thanks to its low height and its sharp lines, this enclosure is discreet and leaves the view to the garden uninterrupted.

It is possible to add angles at the top level if the width to cover requires it; the enclosure will then be a 5 angle Olympia.

IRIS low telescopic enclosure with sloping roof angle

This is the newest enclosure to the range. The Iris low enclosure is fitted with an innovative and patented sliding and guiding system which is inside the top of

the enclosure.

If necessary, a side door which also opens up to half of the roof can be fitted on the enclosure and/or a rotating rear/front end panel.


The enclosure can move on or between the walls. This installation usually needs motorization. This product requires more time to manufacture, being a custom

-made project, together with a careful liaison between the buildings team.

On this kind of project, one of the end panels is totally or partially removed. The height of the enclosure will depend on the size of the building the enclosure

will lean against. This type of enclosure will enable direct access from the house or the pool-house to the swimming pool.

Any kind of shape you want is possible from 3 to 9 angles.

In some ways, it is a veranda enclosure which slides against a wall or a beam. To achieve this, we need to install tracks against the vertical wall/support. This

enclosure will give direct access from the house to the swimming pool.
