Position Description:

Imagery Analysts maintain and build tasking strategies, and analyze and interpret imagery to support U.S. military and policymaker interests. They analyze the activities and interests of countries, regions, and non-state entities, as well as the impact of natural and man-made disasters. In addition, these analysts conduct multi-INT research, populate and exploit intelligence databases, and produce and disseminate intelligence products.

Responsibilities

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The NGA Analysis Directorate seeks experienced, motivated, proactive full motion video (FMV) analysts. Analysts work closely with mission partners to ensure effective GEOINT exploitation of FMV data for 24/7 operations. The nature of the mission requires analysts with strong writing, typing, critical thinking, interpersonal communications, and multitasking skills. Analysts will be on a rotational shift work schedule covering 24 hours by 7-day mission requirements. The NGA Analysis Directorate provides geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) products and services to mission partners to ensure effective round-the-clock GEOINT expertise and customized, professional products based on the exploitation of full-motion video data. The mission provides great opportunities for analysts to work with cutting-edge persistent surveillance technologies, broaden their network with other IC analysts, and advance their GEOINT analysis tradecraft skills. Term employment terminates automatically upon the expiration date unless granted for an extension. However, although not guaranteed, NGA MAY noncompetitively make a term appointment permanent in cases where the employee was initially selected for an announcement that stated such eligibility and the employee has completed at least two years of continuous service with at least a successful performance evaluation. In such cases, the employee converts to a permanent position in the same or lower pay band and work role. All applicants for the TERM must be able to successfully obtain additional accesses for specialized work for the term appointment This position is a Term Appointment for two years. The appointment may be extended

after the initial period up to a total of five years. Term employees are eligible to be promoted or reassigned only into another term position. The total combined service under the term appointment must not exceed the maximum five-year time limitation.

The Henry L. Stimson Center, a nonpartisan policy research center, seeks a highly-motivated individual to join the team as a full-time Research Analyst for the Nuclear Safeguards and Nuclear Security Programs. The successful candidate will have an MS degree or equivalent and/or combination of education and professional experience in applied basic physics, nuclear or radiological engineering. The position requires the application of basic physics, materials science, nuclear or radiological engineering principles to provide solutions and policy options primarily for the management and permanent disposal of spent nuclear fuel, but also for the security of nuclear materials across the nuclear fuel cycle. The position involves significant components of research and projects in the field of nuclear safeguards and nuclear security, involving a range of actors, including government, industry, academia and civil society. The position operates at the intersection of science and policy with time split between the Nuclear Safeguards Program (70%) and Nuclear Security Program (30%). Position description: The Government Accountability Project (GAP) is offering a three-month fellowship beginning May 15, 2018 to research issues related to corruption and/or illegality and whistleblowing at the international level.

The Fellow will receive financial support from GAP to conduct research on international corruption and whistleblowing. Refugee Client Services Intern, International Rescue Committee (IRC), San Diego, CA Position description: The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. SCOPE OF INTERN WORK: The Refugee Client Services intern will be instrumental in helping newly arrived refugees, and other refugees who are facing significant barriers to connect to appropriate services in San Diego.

RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Drive and accompany clients to appointments, such as the DMV, health check-ups,

legal consults, schools (for children’s enrollment), etc ● Assist Resettlement Caseworkers with airport pickups for newly arriving refugee

families ● Assist with setting up the apartments of families scheduled to arrive to San Diego,

including shopping for a set list of items ● Take clients to banks or credit unions to open accounts ● Accompany clients on bus/metro trips to help them learn routes on the San Diego
