A huge welcome to everybody from Sporting Club Thamesmead, especiallySam, Lee and Owen

My self and Sam ( Chairman ) both enjoy a drop of Red grape and we willcertainly share a bottle after the match.

It seems ages since we played at home and then we get 3 in 8 days.  Wealways enjoy a very keenly fought match against today’s opponents. Lastyear they beat us here, although we managed to win 4-2 at their groundearlier in the season . I do hope this very cold snap of weather eases for afew day. The ground has been great , so far this season and I'm sure Alex willget a fantastic pitch ready for today .

We are always looking for new commercial openings at the club , I'mpleased to say , we have started Yoga 3 times a week. Although I've yet topartake in any of the sessions (knee is still playing up ). Its looks inspiring andGroup Leader Bonnie , certainly throws herself into it . Details available .

We went on a Glebe 'Day Out ' last Saturday , when we played Canterbury inthe 1/4 Final of the Kent Senior Trophy.  We narrowly lost 1-0 to an 82ndminute goal. A free coach; was put on for our club members, but for somereason the numbers were extremely low and that will be the first and lasttime we make that gesture.

After today we are back here on Tuesday for a league match v Lydd Town FC

Until then we are only concentrating on this match, when I hope we can'bring home' another 3 points

In 2011 a seemingly new team, Seven Acre & Sidcup F.C, becamefounder members of the Kent Invicta League. However, the historyof the clubs roots goes back much further to the 1900 founding of theRoyal Arsenal. There was a long tradition, from this originallynamed Royal Arsenal Sports & Recreational Association club, of be-ing based in South East London. With several name changes over theyears (and many honours won) the team eventually settled in AbbeyWood, taking on part of the name of the Seven Acre Sports & SocialClub it played out of to become Seven Acre Sports FC.After several successful years in the South London Alliance, andwith club Secretary Lee Hill at the helm, the club grew from strengthto strength before entering the Kent County League in 2008.The 2007 season was the most prolific in the clubs history. Afterwinning the treble with a league title and two cups (also being run-ner-up in another cup final all of which was played in the space ofthree days a week after the league title was sealed!).Lee has been involved in the club for over 25 years striving to driveit on and gradually he has added to the backroom team on a missionto improve the club and to achieve football league status.In 2010 the Seven Acre Sports FC management team searched for anew home away from Abbey Wood to continue developing the cluband, keeping the Seven Acre aspect of the name in homage to theclub's roots, settled with a new home in Sidcup to become SevenAcre & Sidcup F.C.

Good Afternoon and welcome to Foxbury Avenue for today’s gameagainst Sporting Club Thamesmead. I hope players and staff have pleasantstay and safe journey home.

Since my last notes we had victories against Crockenhill, Sutton and FCElmstead with a defeat in the cup to Canterbury.These wins in the league see us going just 1 point behind league leadersRusthall with 3 games in hand. Rusthall have been the pace settersthroughout the season and will take some stopping in my opinion, as theyare a strong well organised outfit. But be rest assured myself and my staffalong with the players will not give up chasing them down. As you sawwith last week result for K Sports anyone can beat anyone in this league.I feel the league has become very strong this year but we find ourselves ina good position to push on and we must remain 100% concentratedthrough out to complete the task we set ourselves

Today’s opponents will be a tough test after coming off our defeatSaturday to Canterbury but we need to bounce back and the boys havetrained hard this week and will be full prepared . Last time we faced SCThamesmead we found ourselves 2v0 down and had to dig deep to win4v2 and on the night I felt SC Thamesmead could count themselvesunlucky not to have taken anything from the game.
