CIDC – Activities Inauguration of CIDC – RECL Training Programme in Sidharthnagar (U.P.)

CIDC has started training program for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and women of Sidharthnagar district. Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd has extended the complete financial support to train and make

employable 250 unemployed youth of Sidharthnagar. A grand inauguration program was the special occasion for the youth of Sidharthnagar on 19 th May

2013; the program was inaugurated by Mr. Jagadambika Pal, Hon’ble Member of Parliament andChairman of COPU (Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings). Mr Rajeev Sharma, Chairmanand Managing Director, REC and Dr. P.R. Swarup, Director General, CIDC were the special honoredguests of the occasion.

Hon’ble Jagadambika Pal, in his ardent inauguration speech, called the youth for hard works and be apartner of nation growth. He motivated them to get maximum benefits from the training. He welcomedthe dignitaries on behalf of people of Sidharthnagar and conveyed his hearty thanks to Mr. RajeevSharma and Dr. P.R. Swarup for their support and visit to Sidharthnagar.

Dr. P.R. Swarup detailed the training program and highlighted the benefits of the training. In his highlyknowledgeable speech, he shared the principles and methods to rejuvenate the construction industry inthe country.

Mr. Rajeev Sharma shared the REC functioning and the CSR activities. In his motivational and inspiringspeech, he called the unemployed youth to join the training program and get maximum benefit from it.

Sh. Rajeev Jain, Sr. Additional Director, CIDC, in his well focused speech, called the aspirants to join theConstruction Industry and make career in the industry having endless scope to grow.

Hon’ble MP, CMD -RECL and DG-CIDC distributed the course kit to selected trainees and blessed themfor their bright future.

Very renowned and respected dignitaries graced the occasion. Mr. P.K. Mishra, Dy. Director, CIDC extended thanks to all on behalf of CIDC.

Inauguration of CIDC Training Centre in Sidharthnagar

A new training centre is inaugurated by Mr. JagadambikaPal, Hon’ble MP and Chairman, COPU with Mr. RajeevSharma, CMD, RECL and Dr. P.R. Swarup DG, CIDC inSidharthnagar district on 19 th May 2013, in Jai Kisan InterCollege, Sanai, Sidharthnagar.

The most famous and big college of Sidharthnagar district

is now CIDC training centre. The training centre has more than 20 big class rooms,

labs and library. The aspirants present at the occasionexpressed and shared their happiness with Hon’ble MP,CMD-RECL and DG-CIDC.

CIDC – Activities Inauguration of CIDC – RECL Training Program in Dumariyaganj. (UP)

To cover the entire district of Sidharthnagar, a training centre in Dumariyaganj is inaugurated on 19 th May 2013.

A grand inauguration program, organized in the Block Office, Dumariyaganj was the occasion ofopportunities of employment for youth of Dumariyaganj.

The Program was inaugurated by Mr. Jagdambika Pal, Hon’ble MP and Chairman COPU. In hisinspiring and motivating speech, he called unemployed youth to join CIDC – RECL training and changetheir life. Hon’ble MP welcomed Mr. Rajeev Sharma, CMD – RECL, Dr. P R Swarup, DG – CIDC and Mr.G. Narayan Rao, CMD – ALIMCO. He extended his heartfelt thanks to dignitaries for their support andvisit to rural and under developing place like Dumariyaganj.

Mr. Alok Tiwari, Member of Parliament was the special guest of the occasion. Mr. Alok Tiwari, Hon’bleMP expressed the deep concern on unemployment and appreciated the CIDC efforts for skilldevelopment and provide support to get employment. He extende d his thanks to Mr. Rajeev Sharma,

CMD – RECL for his effective CSR activities. Mr. Rajeev Sharma, CMD – RECL in his address, shared the functions of RECL and its CSR activities.

Mr. Sharma conveyed his thanks to Mr. Jagdambika Pal for his concern over employment of youth andgrowth of region. Dr. P. R. Swarup, DG – CIDC delivered a substantial speech on Construction Industry,skill development programmes and the job opportunities in the field of construction.

Mr. Rajeev Jain, Sr. Additional Director elaborated the methodology of training in his speech andblessed the aspirants.

Mr. P. K. Mishra Dy. Director, CIDC answered the questions of aspirants and in last given the vote ofthanks on behalf of CIDC.

Inauguration of CIDC- RECL Training centre in Dumariyaganj

A CIDC – RECL Training Centre inaugurated in KhairTechnical Centre, Dumariyaganj by Mr. Jagdambika PalHon’ble MP and Chairman COPU in the honored presenceof Mr. Rajeev Sharma, CMD – RECL and Dr. P .R. Swarup,DG – CIDC.

A Well equipped training centre having all infrastructurerequired for good training will be a boon for unemployedyouth of Dumariyaganj.

Starting of PFC Sponsored Training Programme at Gorakhpur Centre:

A screening test for selection of trainees in PFC sponsored training programme was conducted on25.05.2013 at CIDC training centre, Gorakhpur.

120 aspirants have appeared in the test and 100 were qualified for the admission. Training in Land Survey, Safety Inspector, Store Keeper, Site Accountant, Lab Technician, GWS,

Plumber, Electrician, Mason, Shuttering Carpenter, Bar Bender trades are available and will be allottedon basis of educational qualifications, physical standards and performance in test.

The PFC sponsored training programme will start on 1 st June 2013.

CIDC – Activities Accreditation of Gorakhpur and Sultanpur Centres by NIOS

CIDC Gorakhpur and Sultanpur Centres have been accredited by National Institute of Open Schooling

(NIOS) for the vocational education in ‘Construction Supervision (Civil)’ course.

Admission in the course is in progress and large numbers of aspirants are contacting the centre to jointhe course.

New Initiatives.

CIDC has got work-order from Power Finance Corporation Ltd. For training and placement of 1000 nos.of candidates of U.P., Bihar,West Bengal & North East States.A MoU was signed on 21 st May,2013.

CIDC-ACTIVITIES

Under CIDC-RECL Training Program at Siddhartha Nagar, one batch commenced at Dumariaganj andother centre at Siddhartha Nagar with effect from 24 th May, 2013 with batch strength of 75 candidates.

Under CIDC-RECL training centre in Shivpuri (MP) third batch with batch strength of 30 candidatescommenced on 13 th May, 2013.

Under CIDC-HUDCO training program in Odisha, Second batch started on 01 March, 2013, Third Batchon 03 April, 2013 & Fourth batch started on 25 April, 2013.

Under CIDC-PFCL training program at present 30 nos. of candidates getting training at CIDC Ghaziabadin different trades. These candidates are from MP & Rajasthan.

CIDC – Activities Under CIDC-SJVN training program, 40 nos. of candidates are getting training at CIDC VKP Faridabad

in the trade of site accountant, the program was commenced on 14 th March, 2013.

Under Rajasthan Minorities Training program at approx. 540 candidates are getting training in different

trades at Jaipur, Alwar, Bikaner, Churu, Dholpur, Sawaimadhapur, Sikar, Dausa, Nagaur & Pali.

Dhanbad Project:

CIDC has entered into a MOU with BCCL on 20 th March, 2013. A huge mandate is given to us underCSR initiative in which we have to trained, test, certify and placed about 5000 Project Affected Personsin the district of Dhanbad.

We have received around 3.5 to 4 Lakh application forms from the state. We have started the screeningprogramme from 3 rd April, 2013 and the process is still in continuation. Till date we have called 17000candidates among which around 3000 candidates from PAP & non PAP were shortlisted who have beenselected for training in existing infrastructure of CIDC.

The first batch of 33 candidates was issued movement order for Tiles Mason in Sobha Developers on 1 st May, 2013 at Bangalore. In which their fundamental training was conducted at Dhanbad.

Another 25 PAP candidates were issued the movement order for getting training in Mason, ShatteringCarpenter & Bar bender trade on 18 th May, 2013 at our corporate office at Faridabad.

As per the feedback received from the learners, the training was well conducted, contents were welldesigned and a basic amenity of classroom teaching that is fooding, lodging, and infrastructure is good.

CIDC has established Training Centre in ITI Shillong, Meghalaya, presently undergoing training in Site

Accountant (SA) and General Works Supervisors (GWS), 60 candidates in two batches. Two moretrades in Electrician and Store Keeper tentatively start in 1 st week of June, 2013.

CIDC MOU

One more MOU with UEM Builders Ansal API Contracts Pvt. Ltd, is in process for On the JobTraining (OJT) CIDC will provide Mason, Carpenter, Barbender etc (Semi-skilled/Skilled) and Diplomastudents and Supervisory trade students.

The training duration at the site of UEM Builders: 150 days for Diploma Students, 60 days for Supervisory Trade Students and 10 days for semi Skilled /

Skilled Trainees. UEM Builders to absorb them in services upon having found suitable post completion of On Job Training

(OJT).

CIDC – Activities Mr. Jitesh Khosala, Addll Chief Secretary Assam visited Vishwakarma Pratham Faridabad on 28 th May

2013. He was impressed with the CIDC training faculties and wished them success for their hard work.

He also said that it was an essential effort meeting the capacity gap for the growing infrastructure needs

of particular to the north east , where significant infrastructure development plans are on the cards. He

also suggested having vocational training programmes in Assam. He had discussion with, CIDC Director

General Dr. P.R Swarup regarding training of unemployed youth in Assam as there was much

infrastructure development taking place in the state.

He visited the facilities and also interacted with students specially those who came from Tripura.

Mr. Ajay Gupta from RECL visited CIDC Vishwakarma Pratham Faridabad on 28 th May 2013 to

participate in valedictory function for RECL students who had completed their training and was

impressed to see them energized & the trainers putting their effort for the kind of training in such a short

time span which was outstanding.

Mr. Birajit Sinha MLA of Tripura visited CIDC Vishwakarma Pratham Faridabad on 28 th May 2013 to

meet students from Tripura whom he had motivated to join CIDC training.

CIDC – Activities Internship Programs:

127 B.Tech. Students from Mewar University have joined internship programmes and 42 Diplomastudents are applying for CIDC internships. The internship programmes are being conducted to provide

hands-on engineering experience and to enhance capabilities of the engineering students inconstruction sector.

Internship topics include Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimation, Understanding Contract Conditions,Project Planning & Scheduling, Safety practices on Construction Project Sites, Land SurveyingTechniques using Total Station, Material Testing Laboratory Techniques, and General SiteManagement.

CIDC-Singhania B.Tech. Programme :

CIDC and Singhania University in association with Lohia College, Lucknow initiated Diploma and B.Techprogrammes in Construction Engineering.

Ph.D, Integrated M.Tech-Ph.D, and M.Tech Programmes:

Entrance Test for admission to the Ph.D, Integrated M.Tech-Ph.D, and M.Tech Programmes inConstruction Technology & Management and Trenchless Engineering was held on 5 th of May 2013.Programmes are being conducted jointly with Mewar University, Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) and inassociation with IndSTT. These programmes aim to produce highly skilled and innovative researchers,teachers and professionals.

Establishment of CIDC Council for Construction Engineering and Development:

To provide guidance to the learners & researchers CIDC has established CIDC Council for ConstructionEngineering and Development (CCCERD) under the chair of Dr P.S. Rana.

a) 3 rd batch of HUDCO was inaugurated on 4 rd April & 4 th batch on 25 th April 2013.In that auspicious ceremony Mr.Murali K Jami DGM (Projects) of HUDCO was present.Safety kit, study kit, education kit & tool kits weredistributed by the hand of Mr. Jami.

b) In this month for placement of students; 4 organizationscame in placement meet & total 35 candidates wereselected.

c) Placement meet was organized at VishwakarmaEkadash (Phulnakhara) Centre on 30 th April 2013 &Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. took part in to that & 24candidates were selected in that interview from HUDCOproject.

At the time of this visit Mr. Panigrahi; AssistantDirector of Employment mission, Govt of Odisha wasalso present. The purpose of visit was to find out thereasons & ways to solve out the migration relateddifficulties of travelling labours between Odisha and

Andhra Pradesh states.
