Amadeus Interactive advanced Seat reservation

Amadeus is pleased to announce that Cayman Airways (KX), EOS Airlines (EO), Alaska Airlines (AS), Air Niugini (PX), have been successfully implemented on the interactive advanced seat reservation. Thanks to interactive advanced seat reservation the Airline immediately confirms (or rejects) the seat number(s) reserved this way without having to wait for PNR closure (EOT). Amadeus PNR claim Amadeus is pleased to welcome

Olympic Airlines (OA), Domodedovo Airlines (E3) and Bangkok Airways (PG), as a new Amadeus PNR claim participant. Using simple entries you can display and claim PNRS that were originally created. Claimed PNRS are kept fully synchronized by all Airlines in the itinerary via the normal teletype messages. PNR claim will now be the recommended alternative to creating new passive bookings on flights booked directly with Meridiana. For further information please refer to GGPCAOA, GGPCAE3 AND GGPCAPG.

Amadeus access update Mars RK (6V), Orenburg Airlines

24th July 2007 saw the implementation of Sun Country on Amadeus dynamic availability. Sun country’s availability is now obtained from their system at the time Amadeus builds the availability or schedule display you requested. Lacsa (LR) has now started using negotiated space to manage allotments in Amadeus. With negotiated space, these Airlines can block space in Amadeus to be subsequently sold only by those agents they authorize. Kingfisher Airlines on Amadeus direct access

Amadeus is pleased to announce the successful implementation of Kingfisher Airlines on Amadeus Direct Access. Amadeus Direct access provided you with last seat availability from secondary display thanks to a real time link between Amadeus and the airline inventory system. JOINT PROMOTIONS

Amadeus & BMI got together to host a month long joint promotion from 01st Jul ‘07 to 30th Jul ‘07 which was extended till 15th Aug ‘07. The promotion was based on selling any BMI sector on HPASS commonly known as the discover Europe Air Pass (deap), which is one of the most preferred, flexible SOTO sector ticket on the BMI network. The agent had to issue maximum tickets on H class from their Amadeus terminal & queue the booking to QE/BOM1A0980/57 to avail exciting prizes. The promotion was well received amongst all Amadeus agents.

With the launch of KLM’s 5th flight from Hyderabad to Amsterdam, Amadeus & KLM Royal Dutch Airlines organized an exclusive joint promotion. The promotion was valid for tickets issued between 10th Oct’07 and 30th Nov’07 for all Amadeus agents across India. Amadeus agnets had to book a minimum of 5 PNRs on KL873/KL874 to be eligible for the lucky draw of free return tickets for a couple to Europe.

Amadeus & Air Astana joint promotion Amadeus & Air Astana together held an exciting

promotion for our esteemed agents from 10th July’07 till 10th Oct’07. Amadeus agents were to sell Air Astana destinations like – ALA, LHR, FRA, AMS, DXB, MOW, IST, etc. The agents had to queue their eligible PNRs to QE/DEL1A0980/69. As per Mr. Virendra Teotia – General Manager, Air Astana :

The PNR SMS or the “Smart SMS” allows travel agents using Amadeus to send all travel information to the mobile phones of the passengers via the Short Messaging Service anywhere, anytime.

Amadeus is the exclusive technology provider of the PNR SMS or Smart SMS service in Nepal and will save operational and check-in time to a large extent, thus, providing benefits to the customer, travel agents as well as the airlines. The electronic ticketing data is automatically included in sales

reports and agents can generate an invoice and/or itinerary for the electronic ticket requests. Electronic ticketing also lightens PTA workload and provides savings on ticket stock.

For Airlines e-ticketing provides a savings (cost from 7$ to 1$ per ticket process), a quicker process at reservation time and the ability to follow the status of the passenger in real-time. Electronic ticketing also ensures that the ticket data is transmitted with full security. This also means that check-in and boarding at the airport takes place smoothly and efficiently. Finally, electronic ticketing allows for technology integration of inventory, departure control, reservation and revenue accounting systems.
