SECURITY SCREEN DESIGNATION - SEESCREEN SCHEDULE ON THIS SHEET.

1. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS AND MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS AS NECESSARY TO WORKWITH EXISTING CONDITIONS. NOTIFY ARCHITECT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES WHICH MAY AFFECT THE OUTCOME OF THEWORK.

2. CONTRACTOR SHALL STAGE WORK IN SUCH A MANNER THAT WINDOW OPENINGS ARE FILLED IN BY THE END OF EACHWORK DAY.

3. PATCH/REPAIR GYPSUM BOARD ON INTERIOR AS NECESSARY DUE TO WINDOW REPLACEMENT.

4. REMOVE EXISTING WALL/TRIM MOUNTED SHADE BRACKETS AND WINDOW BLINDS AS NECESSARY TO REPLACEWINDOWS. REINSTALL SHADES, BLINDS, AND HARDWARE.

5. PRIOR TO INSTALLING NEW SECURITY SCREENS CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE EXISTING INSECT SCREENS ON OFFICEBUILDING AND TURN OVER TO PHA. EXISTING WINDOWS ARE MARVIN, CLAD ULTIMATE DOUBLE-HUNG. NEW SCREENSSHALL BE ATTACHED TO EXISTING WINDOWS ON SECURITY SCREEN SUB-FRAME WHICH WILL ALLOW THE SCREENS TO BEOPENED INDEPENDENTLY.

6. ALL DOOR, FRAME, AND SIDE LITE REPLACEMENT SHALL BE BE PERFORMED BY ALTERNATE BID No. 1. SEE SPECIFICATIONSECTION 01 23 00.

7. COORDINATE WITH STANLEY ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES (314-739-0131) FOR REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION OF ELECTRICDOOR OPERATOR. ALL COSTS SHALL BE INCLUDED IN BID.

CONTRACTOR SHALL TEMPORARILY REMOVE EXISTING PUSH BUTTON TO FRONT DOOR OPERATOR (TAKE CARE NOT TODAMAGE). REINSTALL IN SAME LOCATION ON NEW HOLLOW METAL FRAME. COORDINATE WITH DOOR OPERATORINSTALLER.

CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE EXISTING HOLLOW METAL FRAME, SIDE LITES, DOORS, AND FRAMES. CONTRACTOR SHALL FRAME IN OPENING FOR SMALLER HOLLOW METAL FRAME, DOOR, AND SIDE LITE. NEW PARTITIONSHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OUT OF 2x4 FRAMING 16" O.C. AND 58" THICK TYPE 'X' GYPSUM BOARD (VERIFY EXISTINGGYPSUM BOARD THICKNESS) ON BOTH SIDES. FINISH, PRIME, AND PAINT WALL CORNER TO CORNER, FLOOR TO CEILING.

2. ALL WINDOWS DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO DOORS SHALL HAVE FULLY TEMPERED GLASS. ALLGLAZING SET IN HOLLOW METAL FRAMES SHALL BE HAVE TEMPERED GLASS.

3. CONTRACTOR SHALL TEMPORARILY REMOVE EXISTING WINDOW BLINDS/CURTAINS ANDREINSTALL ONCE NEW WINDOWS ARE IN PLACE.

4. PATCH/REPAIR/REFINISH ALL EXISTING CONSTRUCTION TO REMAIN AS NECESSARY DUE TO THEREMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS, HOLLOW METAL FRAMES, AND DOORS, UNLESSNOTED OTHERWISE. CLEAN WORK AREAS OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS AT THE END OF EACHWORK DAY.

5. COORDINATE WITH THE P.H.A. FOR SCHEDULING THE WORK. ALL OPENINGS MUST BE SECUREDAND WEATHER-TIGHT AT THE END OF EACH WORK DAY.

6. WINDOW AND DOOR DETAILS HAVE BEEN CREATED FROM SITE VISITS AND ORIGINALDOCUMENTS FOR CONTRACTORS GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY AND ARE NOT GUARANTEEDACCURATE. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS AND MAKE MINORADJUSTMENTS BEFORE FABRICATION OF NEW WINDOWS AND DOORS. EXISTING WINDOWS ATPROJECTS IL-71-10, IL-71-13, AND IL-71-15 ARE SINGLE-HUNG 2 12" WIDE ALUMINUMCONSTRUCTION. EXISTING WINDOWS AT PROJECT IL-71-14 ARE DOUBLE-HUNG WOODWINDOWS.

7. CONTRACTOR SHALL TEMPORARILY REMOVE EXISTING TENANT-OWNED WINDOW AIRCONDITIONER UNITS AND REINSTALL WITH NEW A/C SUPPORT. FIELD VERIFY.

8. SEE SPEC. SECTION 08 51 13 FOR WINDOW SPECIFICATIONS.

9. ALL NEW WINDOWS SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH FULL HEIGHT INSECT SCREENS.

10. ALL ACCESSIBLE UNITS SHALL HAVE CLASS 5 BALANCES IN LOWER SASHES AND AUTOMATIC SILLLOCKS. SEE KEY SITE PLANS AND FLOOR PLANS FOR ACCESSIBLE UNITS.

11. CONTRACTOR SHALL TEMPORARILY REMOVE EXISTING ACCESSIBLE DOOR OPERATORS,ACCESSIBLE DOOR PUSH BUTTONS, DOOR CLOSERS, PANIC HARDWARE, LOCKSETS, AND PUSHPLATES. REINSTALL ON NEW DOORS AS DIRECTED ON HARDWARE SCHEDULE. SEESPECIFICATION SECTION 08 70 00.

12. ALL NEW HOLLOW METAL FRAMES SHALL BE PRIMED AND PAINTED AS PER SPECIFICATIONS.

13. PROVIDE 3 ANCHORS PER JAMB, MINIMUM, FOR ALL DOORS BEING REPLACED.

14. ALL GLAZING STOPS SHALL BE METAL AND SECURED WITH TAMPER RESISTANT SCREWS.

15. ALL HOLLOW METAL FRAMES SHALL EQUAL 1 1516" RABBETS SO THAT GLAZING CAN BE

INSTALLED ON THE INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING.

16. DOOR, FRAME, AND SIDE LITE REPLACEMENT SHALL BE PERFORMED BY ALTERNATE BID No. 1.SEE SPECIFICATION SECTION 01 23 00.
