Have you noced you can’t click on email aachments immediately? That’s because the Informaon Technology Services (ITS) team recently acvated a new security feature for email to protect you from malicious aachments contained in email messages. Advanced Threat Protecon (ATP) for Safe Aachments is the security feature that scans aached files. When you receive an email message with an aachment, the body of the email will be delivered immediately, but the aachment will not be delivered right away. ATP will scan the aachment first, which usually takes 1-2 minutes, or longer for larger files. While you wait for the scanning process to complete, we highly suggest grabbing yourself a Kit-Kat bar. You deserve it! As always, please remember that no security feature is fool- proof. If an email aachment seems suspicious to you, DO NOT open it. Instead, forward suspicious emails to SpamBusters.
