Shigella Dysenteriae (Shiga 1898), Homeop: Bacillus Dys.

There are four subtypes; 90% are (S flexneri, S. sonnei), S boydii, S dysenteriae (virulent). All the types can

cause shigellosis (bacillary or epidemic dysentery), It accounts for 20% diarrhoea worldwide, 600K fatalities

per year.
